Only The Strong Survive

Charity
Charity headed towards the road, managing to figure out which one it was. She had passed by it a couple time on her way back from school... she walked down it then turned left onto the opposing road. I didn't actually think it would be this close... She continued walking, finally coming across a very hidden gravel road. It was canopied by a few maples and pines, and the road had obviously not been driven on in a couple weeks. She wandered down it, staring at the ground. "By the way- these people can be a little... rediculously rude and kind of stupid... so um, yeah."

Ahanu
"Who are they?"

Charity
"Um.... friends I guess?" Charity tilted her head at the sky, then stopped. She looked down a driveway that was even more hidden then the road it was on. Small grass blades had stared growing between the rocks, and it was scattered with leaves and pinecones. Charity groaned and headed down the driveway, eventually coming up to a house that was wrecked and broken down. She started to doubt there was anyone here, so she just stopped and examined the house.

Ahanu
He studied the house a moment. "Should we knock?"

Charity
"Nah, might scare them," she mumbled, bending down and grabbing a small stone. She let go of Ahanu's hand and backed up a few steps, chucking the rock at the only unbroken window. It shatter the window easily, and with the crash came a startled yelp. A figure walked passed the window, but her face was so lost in the shadows it was hard to make her out. The cursing that was obviously coming from her stopped suddenly, and changed to some other form of yelling. "Hey dudes! We got Charity for company again! And she seems to have brought some freak with her!" Charity gritted her teeth and picked up another stone, aiming it at the girl and just barely missing. "Call him a freak again Agnus and I'll kill you in your sleep!" The girl was quiet for a moment, then clapped once. "Never mind boys, she's got herself a new boyfriend!" There was a surprised "what" that seemed further off, and in a male's voice, but apart from that it went fairly quiet. Charity rolled her eyes. "I haven't had a boyfriend before you, by the way." Charity told Ahanu, glaring expectantly at the door.

Ahanu

What in the world? "Knocking scares them but breaking their window doesn't?" he muttered to Charity. Feeling uneasy, he retook her hand.

Charity
"No, I just wanted to break the window," Charity admitted. The door opened finally, revealing a skinny, but well toned boy behind it. The boy came out, closing the door and looking at Ahanu critically. "I literally just replaced that window," he grumbled, pulling his eyes from Ahanu and looking at Charity. Charity shrugged dismissevly. "Sorry, I've been wanting to break something. I'm assuming y'all aren't dead... I mean you kind of always have been but..." Charity didn't finish her thought. She decided to shut up at the piercing glare the kid was giving her. He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Nobody really wants to see you again. Except Agnus and maybe, maybe... maybe me." The boy pointed at Ahanu. "And who's he- he scares me."

Ahanu
I think I'm more scared of you then you are of me. Ahanu glanced at Charity briefly before deciding to respond. He held her hand a little tighter, uncomfortable. "My name's Ahanu." 

Charity
"Actually he seems perfectly harmless," the boy shrugged, offering Ahanu his hand. "I'm Braydon."

Ahanu
"It's nice to meet you." Luckily he was able to shake Braydon's hand with his free one. Ahanu was reluctant to let go of Charity's, as it was kind of his moral support at the moment. 

Charity
Braydon nodded in response, glancing at Charity when she spoke. "So I'm not welcome anymore? That sucks... I'm pretty sure y'all still owe me one for burning down whatshisface's house." Braydon studied her for a moment, then leaned against the door and crossed his arms. "I didn't say you couldn't go in, I just said nobody really likes you anymore. And Agnus would probably y'know-" he flicked his hand at Ahanu and rolled his eyes. "But regardless, Jordan currently hates you for ditching him- and no I don't mean in a 'we-liked-each-other-but-now-we-don't'," Brayden added for Ahanu's sake. "I mean... she left him in a pond and I had to go fish him out."

Ahanu
So these are Charity's friends? Do they go to her school? Ahanu was silently studying his surroundings while listening to them talk.

Charity
Charity was quiet for a minute, then let out a short laugh. "Oh yeah... well he was being a jerk so I told him to cool off- I'm honestly surprised he didn't die of hypothermia or something. Well, I would absolutely love to see the squad again. And if Agnus starts being stupid I'll just-" "Probably best if you didn't," Braydon cut her off. "But if you really want to come in you can. Just don't beg me for help." Braydon opened the door and went back in, leaving the door open for them.

Ahanu 
He looked at Charity. "Are we going inside?" 

Charity
"You can stay out here if you want to. They're harmless though," Charity assured.
