Sign ups are still open!
Tonight, the dragons all go to Nightwood forest to elect their new leaders. All dragons will go, hatchlings to the oldest warrior. But only the dragons in their prime get to be elected, even against their will. Right now, the dragons are preparing to leave.

Fira
Fira paced rapidly, flapping her wings although she wasn't flying. Occasionally she'd flap too hard and would take a little jump in the air, which would've distracted her if she wasn't so deep in thought. The new leaders were going to be appointed soon, and she wondered who would become leader of the tundra. It scared her more than anything to leave. Not only would it mean flying, which terrified her, she'd also have to leave the tundra, which she hadn't left for how long? At least a half a century. She couldn't remember the last time new leaders had been elected, and even she couldn't find a way to get out of flying off to the meeting this time.

Firebird
She was excited to go to the Full Moon meeting tonight, as the new leaders were being elected there. She secretly hoped she would be Alpha, but beta would be fine too. She flapped her wings a few times, warming up for the flight there. The sun was beginning to set, they would need to leave in a few minutes.
Thunderbird
He was nervous, as he had never been to a meeting before, and he wanted to make a good impression. He glanced up at the sky. They needed to go. The Bulgle Dragon signaled that it was time to leave. They lifted off at the same time, moving in unison.

Peyote - Desert
The rock-colored dragon sighed, finishing off his trip up the cliff face. He clambered over the few remaining boulders, taking a moment to observe the terrain that stretched out far below him before spreading his wings and lifting off into the air. He dipped downward at first, flapping rapidly in an attempt to gain altitude. He eventually did so and was able to glide through the air at a decent pace, though he didn't bother with trying to catch up with most of the others from his zone, who were far above him. He glanced down at the ground forlornly, wishing that he could just walk to the gathering place instead of being forced to fly.
Thistle - Tundra
Thistle was one of the first dragons from her zone to take flight. She climbed skyward with powerful wingstrokes, the frosty mountain air biting at her face, though it hardly stung. Her eyes were narrow yellow-green slits, emotionless yet brooding at the same time. She was both young and experienced; wise but reluctant to share any of her knowledge with others. Her tenancy to slip into the background aside, she was a probable candidate for leader.

Fiya
Fiya flicked her tail, the pale scales shimmering in the golden evening light. All around her, dragons were taking off, like a field of enormous butterflies rising from their perches. She sighed, then fluttered her wings, trying not to show her panicked thoughts as she rose into the air. One wing momentarily stopped flapping, and her left side plummeted, but she caught herself just in time. A few more 'hiccups', and her flight was underway. She focused on the sky in front of her, trying not to scream. Don't look down don't look down don't look down... She gulped. I hope it ends soon.
Semile
The small dragon spread her wings, stretching them as far as she could and enjoying the feeling, then folded them just slightly into her 'ready to fly' position, flapping her wings tentatively at first, then quicker and harder, hopping up and flapping her wings to get as high as the others. She was eager to see who was elected. She saw the others ahead of her, but wasn't worried. She could catch up. For the moment, she glided off to the side, enjoying the wind beneath her wings. Then she gave several strong flaps, trailing at the back of the group. Below everyone else she could see a tan-and-brown dragon, just barely visible at first glance against the desert scenery flashing below him. Peyote, she was pretty sure. She smiled shyly at him, then ducked a little bit further into the bunch of dragons, hoping he hadn't seen her, or at least recognized her.

Haidar - Desert
Haidar ran alongside only a few others like her, claws digging into the ground to give her legs more to push off of as she kept a faily steady, leaping pace, all of them inseprable from the shadows of the dragons soaring overhead for it was purely safer this way - they had a hatchling with them, and she was too small to fend off any threat, but as long as she stayed in the shadows she was virtually unnoticeable. Haidar glanced back briefly to check if she was alright and yep, she was struggling only a little to keep up with one of the larger males that was slowing down for her. Haidar turned her head back to face forwards as the ground bound pack burst over the sand dunes, careful not to get any sand in her eyes.

Phantom- Tundra
She was by herself in far edge of the tundra, conjuring a blizzard, when she saw the others flying. The large black dragon gave a sigh and leaped into the air with a powerful flap of her wings, letting the blizzard die down. She soared along, letting out a “oops” as a rumble of thunder rolled as she clapped her wings. She focused on controlling her power while flying, and after three more flaps of her large wings was behind the group, which was where she stayed. She didn’t like to be among others, she was more of a loner.
Wolfsbane- Forest
He looked up from studying fish in a creek to see others taking off. He also leaped into flight, his blue and aqua scales glittering in the light. He wondered who the leader of each territory would be.

Fira
Fira had almost managed to swallow her nerves and relax when she lost her balance and went spiraling down, panicking and trying to flap her wings. Finally she got under control, and sped upwards, freaked out and pretty embarrassed. Oh, please please please let this be over soon... She took a deep breath and flew further into the group, trying her best not to look down at the ground, intimidatingly far below.
Semile
Semi dashed to the front of the group, calling apologies to anyone she bumped into. She went up a little, enjoying the time away from the crowded bunch of dragons. She saw a pack of tall trees, their branches spread like wriggling arms, below her. Nightwood Forest? she wondered. It'd been a long time since she'd been there.
