What’s your favorite art style?

#171731 Posted on 2018-05-26 06:15:01

I’m just curious :)

I really like a semi cartoony style (with a darker, very smooth outline and details in a thinner brush) or a extremely simplified realism (if that makes sense??), nothing too realistic and too much detail. However, I do like it anatomically correct. As for shading, I’m okay with anything, especially a good old cell shading.

Realism is really beautiful, but I can never draw it to my satisfication, so I tend to avoid it like the plague. Kudos to all those who can draw realism!

^ I like semi-cartoony styles as well. Something that you might see in a 2d-animated movie, like Spirit.

Semi-cartoony, I personally adore, although I can't draw it for the life of me. Same way with manga; I love it but I just can't xD
I do more realistic art, so I'd have to say realistic is my favorite. Although it sucks at times lol.

I'd say my preferences are the art styles I draw in XD So, cartoony-ish as well as pixel art.

I do enjoy a good realism piece though, but I usually only enjoy realism if it's a realistic horse colour. Sparkle ponies in realism just.. idk, doesn't appeal to me as much XD

Semi-cartoony for LIIIIFFFEEE. I also like watercolors. Not really a style, but Trina Schart Hyman. That's where it's at, folks.
