I'm getting another betta! And Einstein Update!

(So, I'm really mad right now, because I just spent like 30 minutes writing this post and putting the picture in, but when I clicked post new topic, it said that I wasn't logged in! Lets just say I cursed a little bit to myself. :(

Ugh, fish and filters - My worst enemy! It took us WEEKS to figure out the perfect level of un-coveredness of our filter that would suit both our strong current loving fish, and our slows, but in most of our tanks our fish are all happy with the current.

Gaiaphage- Lol same! I think Einstein is okay with the flow right now. My filter is pretty low flow, but when the water goes back in it sort of pushes down any object beneath it. Einstein has learned to stay away from that area though.

okay he is beautiful.. but i have a 10 gal with 4 females and 1 male. but the male died due to the filter sucking him up and me not knowing till i didn't see him for a couple days. try putting a sponge on the filter sucker thing. it gets nasty so you will have to wash it and stuff every week or so up you

Right now it is like the middle of the night, so I'm not going to insert a pic right now, but I will edit later and put a pic in. My filter vents are very small. I don't think they could suck up Einstein.

Yes, I agree. I don't have them anymore, but I used too lol :)

They are very fun fish to keep, but I feel like they are underestimated. Many people, unfortunately, keep them in little cups or containers.

Yeah, I know. I love fish so much, but as you said, they are underestimated. People think they can just hold a fish I a small bowl of water and they will be fine, but they wont.

ikr! lol every time a see a betta in a small bowl or something I want to say out loud "If you can afford this nice house, you can surely afford a 5 gallon tank!" lol

I am totally with you on that one. You have now made me want to get some more fish...
