Chincos

#146559 Posted on 2018-02-05 02:03:30

So, I decided to buy two chincos from the store to play with.. They're cute and I was feeling like a challenge.

Anyway, I was just wondering what disciplines everyone has their chincos in, because I'm not sure what to do for them.
I was thinking Jumping simply because they look cute with jumping tack? :3 O.o halp.

If you go to the statistics page under Town, it shows you how many horses of each breed are in each discipline. In the case of Chincoteagues, other people must agree with you, because it's by far the most popular discipline for them.  : )

Well I am a recent (like 3 days ago!) Chinco convert thanks to Sabriel who has persuaded me to raise mine in Western. However just now I'm in the sourcing of pixels stage so I haven't started the lines off yet.

However Show Jumping is the most common discipline.

WESTERN DARN IT. My Chincos are my old Brumbies so they started as Western and I never really checked what everyone else was doing, when I finally did and saw so many in Jumping I about cried, but I will continue to do these little cute things in Western because they look amazing on the Sunset beach background with their western tack: SEE!
I mean they do look cute in jumping tack but the western with the beach? so much cooler. -nods emphatically-

@Sabriel - He he I'm copying the Sunset Beach background thing as well then; I thought the Chinco filly I bought from you looked so happy at the beach that the rest of them should join her! ;)

ack Sab you're right, they look amazing with western tack and the beach bg
however, I have mine in jumping, not because of the statistics, but because they just ended up with the stats for that over the generations

I think maybe I am to blame for Chincoteagues mostly being in Show Jumping.  I put them in that before the recode, and I quickly became one of the biggest Chincoteague breeders in the game.  A lot of those show jumpers are either bred by me or descended from my stock.  I'm currently selling off all my old stock, actually.

But there's plenty of room for people to breed Chincoteagues of other disciplines.  Whatever makes you happy!

@Fabelhaft
I support you 100% it's not copying, it's sharing the pretty!

@Raptor
I get you, sometimes the ponies just want to go in certain disciplines. It's how I ended up with the 5 disciplines of Shetland program, I bought a bunch of store ponies that didn't want to do driving and decided to make a fun project out of it.

Ok, Western it is for me then because Sab you are my inspiration and seeing as though we have been pairing breeding horses for years I figured its a good idea. :3 All Hail Sab!

I sold all my old brumbies, I think.  I think I transferred them to TWH? Anyway, I got sick of looking of at what was my old good brumby line and a fair few of them deceased whilst amongst all the recode and not locking my account here and there so hence why I started Paints and kept my DWH(Sweds) locked for a while.

I figured Chincos need some lovin'!

YESSSSSS Back in the partnering spirit! I think you did do something different with your Brumbalums TWH sounds about right. I know I was all wishy washy about what to do with them, but we decided Dutchies for our darling Sweds together.

Chicos are almost as cute as Shetlands so they obviously deserve all the love xD
