Alex watched the others setting up their camp from the treeline, his gaze unsteady and his skin deathly pale, littered with open wounds and bruises. Shadow travelling wasn't easy on anyone, and without his mother's protection, he hadn't been spared by monsters. He slumped, standing in the shadows, bowing his head as he rested briefly, looking up at the glowing eyes and snarling teeth he saw glinting, further into the forest. "Slow them down." He whispered reluctantly, (they all looked so peaceful, and Jade was over there) taking a deep breath and stepping into the shadows of the trees cast by the setting sun, hearing a wolf howl.

She stepped out of her tent, hearing the sound of a wolf in the distance. Her brow furrowing, she buckled on her belt with her sword sheath and slipped behind her tent. She peered into the forest as she zipped up her hoodie. Turning, she went back into her tent and scrawled a note in case they were looking for her, leaving it on the bedstand. She went back behind her tent and slipped into the forest. Despite concentrating on the previous wolf howl, Jade's mind was still on that odd experience when she had been freezing. "I swear Alex was there," she murmured aloud to herself, slipping through the trees, hand on her sword hilt.

He looked at Ethel briefly. "Yeah." Returning his gaze to the white petals, he continued. "It blooms as the sun begins to rise, and as the sun begins to set, its petals start to close." He picked up the pot and gently touched one of the petals. "It has extremely soft and delicate petals, and sometimes the dew is heavy enough to pluck them off, so that's why the petals close up." He tilted the flower toward her. "You can touch the petals, as long as you're gentle." He smiled.

Auberon walked back to the cabins after helping Denver. Boy, he loved helping by Denver's orginization... well to put it simply he was tired. But it was fine with him since it got his mind off Kahlen; well kind of. He at least got to talk about it.

He smiled. "This is the only one of its kind that I've ever seen. They're usually deep within secluded forests, typically down south, but I found this one in, I think, Virginia? It was growing in a parking lot, and it for sure would have gotten run over. I couldn't let it sit there. It's one of my favorites now." He blushed a little and looked at his hooves. He didn't normally tell people he carried plants around. It was weird, but he couldn't help it. He loved plants - especially rare or odd flowers - and he loved playing music for them.

"-Alex was here..." Alex spun around at the mention of his name, backing up into the darkness as he watched Jade stumble into the forest, and oh god did she look cold. Her lips were blue and even under her hoodie she was shuddering. "Jade." He whispered, eyes wide.

She scanned the trees, searching for the source of the wolf howl. She inwardly cursed the cold in ancient Greek, for her shivering caused her hand to be unsteady on her sword hilt. Hopefully, she wouldn't need to draw it. "This stupid cold," she grumbled, taking her hand off her sword to hug herself. "If this wolf howl was another hallucination like that feeling of Alex brushing back my hair..." She searched the trees again.
