"What if he likes you?" Katie hissed back, under her breath. "You'll never know if you don't talk to him." Well....The worst he could say was no, right? And if it came to that, Katie would tell James about her story and they could cry together.

Alex held out his hand, silently asking for permission. He really didn't know if this was going to work.... but Anteros said to try it, so he would.

Katie laughed at that. "C'mere, you." She pulled James in for a hug, grinning. Once she pulled back, she spoke again. "Just.... ask if you can talk to him alone? You can say you wanted to talk privately about my eyes, or something if that gets the other to leave you alone." Katie thought hard. She didn't want to give him set in stone advice in care Bobby REALLY didn't feel that way, but..... Katie could almost, almost see something there. And, as Katie had figured out, communication was key, right?

"You caaaaaan." Katie groaned, ruffling James' hair. "Get out there, kid. Tell him before-" something happens. Something like their person dying. Something like them being put in an infirmary, everyone unsure on whether they're going to live or not. Something like Harley. A voice hissed at her, and it too everything in her not to wince. Harley had been with Anita - and that was that. The end. Katie just had to shut up, and suck it up.

James

Katie
Katie just sat innocently, playing with the Pesanta. She giggled as the cat pounced on her fingers, snapping at them withour drawing blood. Good.

Bobby
He was about to answer Ethel's question when James walked up. Bobby looked up. "What's up?"

Jade
Jade carefully took his hand, very aware that the burns on her wrist were now visible. She tried to keep a blush - WHY was she blushing?! - from creeping up her face.

Alex grinned at her. "Jade.... well, where do I begin? We already have some great memories together - the infirmary trips, the beach, the better parts of capture the flag... and I'd really love to make more with you. For as long as we can." He smiled gently. "I love you, Jade Harper. I hope you can remember me." Anteros grinned, snapping his fingers and disappearing.

Bobby
He gave Ethel an apologetic glance and stood. "Okay."

Jade
Her heart pounded. "I...." She looked away a moment, but her eyes eventually met his. "I think..." She sighed, speaking quietly. "I think I remember some of it. But it's- it's all hazy."

Alex
"What do you remember, hun?" Alex asked gently, hopeful because he trusted Anteros.
