Auberon listened to her soft breathing and found comfort somehow in it. He smiled and let his eyelids close slightly.

Auberon shut his eyes completely, feeling no signs of fear or anger anymore. He could get used to this.

Kahlen

Auberon opened his eyes to find everything was seemingly fading slowly. "Goodbye Kahlen," he whispered. "I love you."

Everything swirled into reality suddenly. He was still up against the tree, and Denver was there. And so was his broken rib issue. "Oh, hi Denver," he said trying not to show too much excitement.

Denver

"Couldn't be better," Auberon mumbled smiling.

Denver
Denver nodded slowly. "Ookay then. Well, that makes my life easier."

Auberon
Auberon bit his lip trying not to smile harder. He felt around his side again to see if he could get his rib to heal. Much to his satisfaction it did start healing. "Oh, uh, Denver I don't think I need your help anymore with my rib..." he said. "I think it's healed."

Alex
Alex and Anteros glanced at each other, seemingly having a coversation with their eyes. "I miss her, Ant." Alex admitted quietly, looking away from both Jade and his friend. "But what could I do? Hecate revoked my magic."

Jade
She grabbed the water bottle from where it lay on top of her, twisting the cap and teasing a strand of water out. She closed the cap and swirled the water in her hand as she stared at the tent wall. Alex and the god were having some sort of discussion. Jade thought about all she could remember with the fire. She sighed. Eudora had gotten burnt. While Eudora had explained it, Jade still felt bad about not only Eudora but herself being burnt. Now she would hold up the group, being stuck in bed. She should have done better, concentrated harder, not gotten knocked out. Jade looked at the water in her palm, forming a pool. It swirled with currents and rippled with waves. It formed a whirlpool that bounced off her fingers. It settled into a quiet, still puddle. It formed a yarn-like strand and weaved through her fingers like normal. An idea formed in her mind. She couldn't fail again, and maybe this would help prevent her from doing so.

Alex
"-Jade?" Alex and Anteros seemed to be finished their conversation, and Alex knelt down beside Jade. "I..... I want to try something. I don't know if it will work, but I just...." He stopped, looking up at her."

Jade
She was shaken from her thoughts. Picking up the water bottle, she fumbled with it, trying to get it open one handed. When she couldn't, Jade decided to try something. She used the hand with the water to unscrew the cap, pleased to find that the water stayed upon her hand even when she turned it upside down. She let it trickle into the plastic container and closed it before setting it on the cot beside her. She finally looked over at Alex. " Sorry about that," she said. "What do you want to try?"
