She watched with a mix of horror and fascination. She remembered the sound of the Voice now, asking her if it needed to keep proving it controlled her. And then past-Jade lifted into the air and spoke. Jade grimaced. "I hate that voice," she muttered.

Jade
The memory of Jade's possession faded, opening on a room... "I - I've been here." At least, she thought she had. She bent and felt the floor, nodding. She glanced at Kahlen's panicked expression. Let's go. She wasn't sure how she did it, but the scene faded and Jade found herself back in the clearing, sitting by Kahlen. "I've been in that room. For me, it's always completely black. But the floor is the same, and I'm chained where you were. I have to watch as one of my friends is tortured. It's a recurring dream."

"The- the chains... responsibility.... I... I can't fail..." She didn't even know what she was saying anymore, or why. She took a deep breath. "Thanks."

Jade
She wasn't sure what Kahlen was talking about. "You won't fail. And no problem." She stood, brushing off her jeans, and offered a hand to Kahlen. "We probably need to get going."

She walked back over to the fire. "Are you guys ready to leave?" she asked everyone. Tod trotted from where he stood grazing at the edge of the clearing and stood over her shoulder. He sniffed her pockets for carrots, but unlike Noah she didn't carry them on her. I don't have any carrots, Tod. "That's unfortunate. I work for carrots." No, you don't. "Sure I do. And I'm not leaving until I get a carrot." Jade turned and glared at him, not actually mad but hoping she would appear angry enough he would back down. "Okay, okay, fine." She laughed, turning back to the others.

Eudora
"Ready as I'll ever be I supose," she said finishing her hash browns. "Wher'de you guyss run off to?" she asked looking at Jade and Kahlen.

"-And they still haven't moved?" Alex asked, looking up through the bars of the cage. "No, Lexi. They're as they were." Alex frowned. They had been still too long - and that many powerful demigods in one spot was just asking for trouble. The goddess sighed. "Send in Orthrus." Alex spun and glared at his mother. "I won't. I won't do that to them." Asteria stared right back. "Hestia will get suspicious. You must." Alex was silent. He stood with one last, hard look, and vanished into the shadows, peering from the forest with a saddened interest. He put his fingers to his mouth and let out a sharp whistle, tensing as a dog four times his size appeared beside him, it's two heads snapping furiously. Alex waved his hand vaguely at the campsite.(subconciously away from Jade, mind you) "Delay them." He muttered, watching as the dog tore towards the questers.

Jade
The ground vibrated, and her head snapped up. She looked toward the woods and saw a huge dog, with two heads, loping toward the camp. "Get your tents down and mount your pegasi," she snapped at everyone. "We need to leave. I'm ready, I'll try to hold it back." The slight shivers still going through her were stifled. She couldn't deal with a shaking hand right now, despite how cold she was. She felt for the underground stream and let it burst through the ground and blast the dog with as much force as she could cause it to do. Her hand went to her sword hilt and she pulled it out. "Hurry!" she yelled, jumping onto Tod, who reared defiantly and charged the beast.

Eudora
Eudora jumped onto her Pagasus and grabbed some fire. I officially hate dogs right now...

Kahlen
Kahlen was glad she'd packed earlier. She mounted Kadi, who leaped into the air with what seemed to be a sarcastic whinny. Kahlen's locket turned into a bow and she turned, watching in case they needed long-range assistance.
