"I think..." Katie slightly adjusted how she was carrying thr cat. "I think this is the Pesanta. Anita used to tell me stories about how she'd encountered them," Katie gestured to her jacket. "And barely lived." Katie exhaled. "I still have no idea how I'm not dead, or missing a limb."

Jade
She shook her head. "Yeah, that was impressive. And, sorry, did I hear right when you offered to have it come with us?" She glanced at Katie's arm, where she had stopped the blood flow with some torn cloth.

Katie
"Um...." Katie winced sheepisly. "....Yes?"

Jade
She laughed, a bit nervously. "Ooookay, um, how are we going to keep it from, ya know, killing us?"

Katie
"I.... didn't think of that." Katie bit her lip as the cat poked it's head out from her jacket, and eyed the girls - it knew they were talking about it. "Also.... do we really need to show this to the others?" Katie murmured slowly. "Do they really have to know that they're...." Katie shrugged helplessly. How to even explain this? "Do they have to know that we have this at all?"

Jade
She shrugged. "You're bringing a potentially dangerous creature into the camp to come with us on our quest. I would say they should probably know. But I guess it's your call. If you don't want to tell them, I won't. Just keep in mind that Kahlen might know even if you don't say anything." Kahlen had sensed the Voice on multiple occasions, what was to say she couldn't sense the dog/cat/thing?

Katie nodded.

Jade
They neared the clearing and Jade glanced at Katie. "Up to you," she said, and then stepped back into their makeshift camp. Kahlen looked... distressed, and it wasn't very often that her eyes gave this away. Jade decided not to comment on it. Yet. Bobby had seen them and was already getting a hash brown on a plate for Katie.

Katie
Katie unzipped her jacket and the cat landed on the ground gracefully, looking up with a little nervous meow, big green eyes blinking. She wanted it to go over there? With all those people with weapons? "My tent is the furthest away from the campfire, over by the trees, pointing so she didn't accidentally send the cat over to James. "Meet me in there?" The cat rolled it's eyes, and with a little smoke, it was gone. Katie let out a sigh of relief, heading to the campfire.

Kahlen

Bobby
He handed Katie the plate. a hash brown and fork resting on top. "We'll be taking off soon. When you're done you may want to pull your tent down." He paused, then addressed everyone. "Just so you all know, the tents will hold any items you put inside. I had some plants in mine, and they'll still be there when I unfold it later tonight."

Jade
She walked over to stand by Kahlen, listening to Bobby and leaning over to whisper. "Hey, what's wrong?" She had watched as that wall went up in her eyes, and while Jade knew she probably didn't want to talk about it, may as well give her a chance in case she wanted to.

She zipped up her hoodie in a vain attempt to trap some body heat. "Okay," she said simply.
