Credit Price Induced Heart Attack :s

#134501 Posted on 2017-12-17 07:59:04

I admit I havent been active much on EV this last 8months but what the heck has happened to the price of credits?!

On the art forums in general they are still being accepted as 1 credit = $50k evd but today I was looking in the credit store to buy some to add more days to my auto show/care but they are at their worst over $200k each.

Dont get me wrong I usually buy them with RL money but I havent any spare cash at the moment so I thought I'd help the EV economy & buy from another player but c'mon!

Geez last time I bothered to look at the credit sales they were 150k-175k. I don't know who's buying them at those prices but as long as people are then they'll be sold for that much.
Thankfully there's still people who will sell directly for 50k each so whenever I need some that's how I get mine

I don't buy them when they're higher than 60k, and if no one else did, they wouldn't be priced so high.  I know people that still sell them for 50-60k when I need them, thankfully I had enough from contests to buy my deluxe and autocare.

I only sell credits for 50k! There are still a few members out there who sell for 50k but they don’t post on credit sales (either that or I miss them while I’m asleep. Im in a different time zone to most people XD)

I did get some for $65k last week which is my absolute limit.

@Nittrous  - you're right its supply & demand but I personally couldn't/can't get my head round who would pay that much for a credit when I assumed it was site-wide knowledge they usually go for 50-60K.

@Courtney - Im glad I made someone giggle!

I have a theory. Price of credits has gotten fairly "high" becauase there is a lack of economy in the horse market here. People can't make money selling quality horses, so, they sell credits to make a quick buck. Ergo, inflation of price in credits and there are lots of high stat horses for $200 or less all over the place.

Just my thoughts. Please *do not* criticize me for them. People do not have to agree with me.

I won’t by any over 75k. Currently in the credit sale most are going for around 200k, it’s pretty insane when most people still value them at 50k or 75k. The credit sales seemed to make it worse and the max thing that was put up didn’t help much, just my opinion of course.

People buy at those prices because they're desperate. I buy out and sell at a loss of 100k each when I feel like it but it's a huge money drain. People know they're gonna sell no matter what when someone can't find credits anywhere else, it's not gonna change now.

Also agree with cat, been saying the exact same thing since the inflation started.

Won't buy for more than 50k, they aren't worth more than that unless you buy into it IMHO

What annoys me is that people think they have a right to be able to buy credits at a standard rate. This is literally the one part of the economy that actually changes. But shrugs doesn't really affect me - i buy with real money and won't offer them for sale anymore.
