My latest rescue mission.

I was checking Facebook when I noticed a message with a blurry photo of what was clearly an exotic reptile sitting outside in the cold and in the mud. It had a very long tail and some sort of ridge on it's back. I couldn't make out the size of the poor thing but it reminded me of an iguana, apart from it's striking red and black color.
The OP wrote that she was shocked to find such a weird animal and that she actually ran away from it. 

It was taken in a field just minutes away from where I live, so I grabbed a pet carrier, a warm towel and a pair of heavy duty working gloves to go out and save the poor thing from a certain death in the freezing November temperatures. The OP mentioned the animal was sitting motionless, so we really needed to find it quickly because it was obviously already in hypothermic shock. 

It was 8pm over here so it was dark, cold and raining. I convinced my BF to come with me and bring a flashlight. Luckily it didn't take us long to find it.

It was a plastic lizard.

I rescued a kid's toy.

I feel like an idiot.

That is all.

Oh dear! I hate when that happen! Pulled over to rescue a poor "kitten" off the busy road but only to find the "kitten" is a stuffed toy -_- better safe than sorry tho!

And it's all over our neighborhood Facebook page. I will be forever remembered as the plastic lizard lady.

On the upside, he settled in nicely. The poor thing just needed a blanket and a cup of coffee.
Unless the owner comes forward we decided to give him a forever home.

Also I love those Lotus cookies, I don't even drink coffee but they're very good with hot chocolate xD 

That plot twist though... Hahaha! It must have felt somewhat frustrating to find a plastic lizard, but thank you.
