Rc deletion: How does it effect Pedigrees?

#115507 Posted on 2017-07-25 15:17:38

Hiya
I just started using the RC because I am overwhelmed with horses. After a few days I have it under 500 but its too many..
Here is the question... If i put a horse in the Rc and it is not adopted so gets deleted but I keep its foals how does the  now deleted horse appear on the foals pedigree? Cause the horses come up as they dont exist when I do a search for them or have them bookmarked and that's a lot different then deceased...
Please let me know if you have ever seen a deleted horse on a pedigree and how it looks? I dont wan to mess up my lineage...
Thanks

I don't know how it is now, but 'back in the day' it would say deceased, and people did not like to buy horses with that in their pedigrees.

Here's an example with one of my Appaloosas that has been dead for a while. Look all the way at the end of the pedigree

Thankfully the way Notori described is obsolete now^^

Im fairly certain it does the same thing as if you delete a horse's records. The name is still there, but when you go to the horse's page it says the horse resides in the pasture in the sky.
