General List of Newbie Questions

Heya!

I've just got a few questions, I joined recently (like two days ago or so).

-Is there anyway I can gain exp faster? I want to breed horses but it says I have to wait till level 6.

-How do I make money? I know that you cna train and enter comps, but it seems like that doesnt make anything back for what I spend entering the horses in them for.

-Is the more horses the better?

-If I get a deluxe thingy, can I skip past all the levels/will it be easier to pass by them?

-Is there anyway to sell things in my inventory?

I think overall I'm just stuck on the new being able to level up, because I want to decorate my horses and breed them and update my tack but bah!

You can also send your horses to riding school and that's free. You gain xp and earn money too. There is no way to "skip" leveling up. More horses is not always better. The more horses you have the more money you spend caring for them. When breeding horses many players wait till their horses are 16 or older. That way they have higher stats and sell better. Stats help a horse win at shows.

Showing your horses or using riding schools will help you gain XP. If you have a lot of horses this will increase the amount of XP you can earn in one day, but Blue Kat is right. The more horses you have the more you spend on their care. If you're finding that you're spending more on show fees than you're winning back, try being more selective as to what shows you enter your horses in.

Getting deluxe will not allow you to skip levels, no. I don't believe a deluxe membership includes anything that will help you gain XP faster, but it does help you make a bit more money than if you didn't have it. When you have deluxe you can have things such as riding arenas and your own stables, as well as create shows. Those are all things that will help bring in some income. A deluxe membership will also give you a higher interest rate in the bank. A lot of players will deposit all their money on hand at the end of the day to increase the amount of money in their bank. More money in the bank = more money earned through interest.

To sell items in your inventory, you can either go to the item market in town, or by going to your inventory and using the inventory manager (this is a faster method because you can mass-list items).

you can gain experience by training, showing/riding school your horses. You are made to level to breeding level so you can learn more about the game before you start breeding.^^ find out just what it is you want out of the game.

you can enter competitions or riding school for money. Riding school is located in the stable search section. You should get around 1-5 stats per horse, a few items, and some money (200-395 per horse, approximately, depending the division you choose, it differs in items, experience, or money)
you can play the games in the town section.
wish for money at the wishing well.
grab something out of the junkyard, it's possible you can sell this.
put some money in the bank, you will earn interest

I wouldn't say it's better or worse. It all depends on the person. People breed for three differnt things, generally. Stats, color, or conformation. For most people it's less about the number or horses, and more about quality of horses.

This can also go along with breeding. Most players strive for hoses with fewer foals, and parents with fewer foals, so more isn't always better when it comes to breeding. However, there are plenty of players who will happily buy and sell horses with much more common lines, if that is the route you plan on taking. They will just sell for a smaller amount.

IDK on this one, I didn't get a deluxe until I was here over 6 months, but, I don't just skip levels, so I doubt it. I can't say for sure though.

In the town section there is an items market that you can sell your items to other players, or buy their items at.

Do group riding school lessons for more XP.
Like the others said, no, you can't skip leveling up at all.
I'm not good at explaining things... sorry...
