Gray rant a bit.

Got a smoky black Morgan mare that i was uber excited about from the Equine Center. Gene tested to find out she's gray >:C I hate Grey worse now because it doesn't show up on the horse until they're graying. I don't have Grays in my herds. I cull horses for it usually, but I like the thought of that smoky Black. I just wish gray was displayed differently.

How about this? Got this awesome Palomino Gypsy stud, but discovered that he was GG when I revealed his genotype. I ended up randomizing his coloring and got a lovely Perlino Dun. :3

I feel you, I have been trying to build a line of lipizzaners and out of 10 only 1 is not Gg or GG.

:(

How would you prefer grey to be displayed?

Surely if it was already grey then you'd have culled it without finding out it was a smoky black heh. Personally I don't mind grey, I like the pretty colours you can get whilst they're greying, they're pretty unique in most cases.

I actually like the color changes as my horses gray out, but it's white that somewhat annoys me. I was starting up a line for my Chincos and I got like 7 white horses I had to cull out >:(

(Graying) Smoky Black

Would be beautiful. That would mean it was displayed before the color so that way I would know before hand :) That would make me feel better lol

Isn't it already displayed like that now?

It seems that it doesn't display at all for horses under 3 years. You have to reveal the genotype if you want any indication that the horse will grey. After this, I had to go check the genotype of all my new Chinco foals (whose color I was SO excited about, I thought I hit the jackpot since it didn't say greying for any of them) and quite a few of them are GG or Gg, so I was a little disappointed, I thought I got massively lucky. The one whose color I was most excited about is GG :c

Oh I totally feel you! Trying to set up a foundation line myself and truely 60% coming out of the EC is gray. Especially if you're finally getting some color on them (which is maybe 1 in 10), they seem to be gray...
