Color You Most Want

Thought it would be interesting to see what color combination of horses you most want to get out of your breeding programs.

For me, right now, my goal is to eventually get a silver brown dun with flaxen, roan and rabicano genotypes. More specifically DD, ZZ, ff, RbRb, Rn+. Of course stats and conformation are always a bonus, but this is just the COLOR I want to get.

Other colors are Ivory Gold Champagne Dun with silver and flaxen, Flaxen Dunalino with silver, rabicano and roan (DD, ff, ZZ, RbRb, Rn+), and a seal brown cream dun with silver and rabicano.

What are yours?

Hmm......... I'd love to get a Grullo or Sable Champagne mini, or a Seal Brown Cream Dun chinco/mini.

It depends on the breed...I was bored one day and spent hours on the Custom Horse creator trying out different colors and patterns on different breeds. I made a whole (long!) list of what I think are the prettiest combinations. But in general Sable Champagne and Cremello are my favorite colors. I also really like black with ZZ silver and Grullo with Zz silver.

Since before the recode my goal has been to get a silver black gypsy and a sooty buckskin gypsy, then neither of those genes got added with the recode. :( I'm still holding out that they will be added eventually though.

i like splash and rabicano on all breeds, and sabino/tobiano/overo on a select few

my favorite color of mustang is silver sooty mealy seal brown cream dun roan. I've got two of them and I want so many more.

i also like flaxen red dun roans in quarter horses

they totally are!
the mustang color is so close to grey that i feel like i shouldn't like it, but it's so pretty! also, the fact that it takes so many genes to make is also appealing to the collector in me.

I'm trying to breed the flaxen red dun roan into quarter horses but it's my "someday" goal horse in all breeds!
