Horse URL: http://www.equiverse.com/horse.php?id=438364
Norse Name: Noctilucent
Breed and Gender: Thoroughbred Mare
Average Conformation: 83.68

(as a note, this was the first foal I actually bred for conformation and she turned out ten points higher than either parent.)

Very interesting! Gives me hope for all the stores I am trying to pair up (avg conf ~50-65). What were the grand parents in relation to the 83.68?

i had my first batch of 2nd gen experiments born today, and it was not what i was expecting 0.o

i had 2 mare and stallion pairs, and then i also bred two spare mares to each of the stallions. i'd been planning on keeping the foals of the actual established pairs, since those are the ones i matched up based on conformation and just using the 4 extra foals as spares. turns out the extra foals ended up with better conformation than the foals i was intending on keeping D:

here's the excel spreadsheet. the bolded foal is the one i ended up keeping, and the underline/italicized was the one from the pair i had matched up on purpose.
green are excellents or perfects, and orange is poors. the difference is what the difference is between the exact average of sire and dam compared to what the foal actually is

I can only think of one reason for the SUPER low confo of the Foal 4, and that's that the dam was a horse i pulled from the RC on the old EV at age 6, while all the others were either horses i got from the EC or from other players who had cared for them every day, as I did with them as soon as i got them. if a few days in the RC (plus a couple weeks of being uncared for) caused that much of a drop, i'm somewhat terrified about how easy conformation breeding is going to be witha herd i mostly scavenged from the RC on the old EV D:

Wow... interesting specs Kahzie. I don't know if RC really does hurt a horse... can someone else confirm that? I've got two mares getting ready to foal tomorrow from the RC. I'll probably run the specs on them to compare.

Oohh. Very nice record keeping/tracking. I am currently setting up my spreadsheet for pairing.

New forms added before this posting are added!

Pls remember to give me the direct web link to the horse and not a linked name. When I copy paste this in my editor, it's just converted back to text. I end up with the name twice, and no url.
Thanks!

Really strange, to me at least, that there are very few 90-94.99 horses compared to 95+!

Last thing, I will aim to update every other day unless it's not needed. I did mention this on the club but just wanted to mention here too!

(Oops! I didn't realize I had the last post already. Very very sorry for double posting!)

I bred for conformation in old EV. I'm not sure how much pressure i will put on myself here, but i do take it into consideration when i breed any of my horses. I started The Perfect Trait Association on the old version.

Anyways here are some of my prized conformation ponies. I have some that are specifically kept for conformation breeding but i haven't done any of that in this version yet. If you see one you like dont hesitate to ask for a breeding, mare or stally.

Work in progress, i have to go through each horse and find the missing ones. Its a different organization system for me in this new version ;)

This is really neat. :o I wonder how my RC horses will compare in conf breedings to my store bought or long pedigreed horses? Or the short pedigree (or foundation) versus the long pedigreed? I wonder if COI factors in as well? So many questions lol. I also wanna know if grandparents and past gens effect conf at all, but not sure if we'll get the answer without a lot of experimentation.

I will aim on updating the lists today.

@Beware - Yes. I am very curious if grandparents have any influence and if care impacts the "luck" of a pairing. I really wish I had horses ready to breed!

Edit - Lists updated through here!
