This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, Raptor, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!
The horse would show up as entirely white, yes, but in the "color" section, it would say the color underneath of that. In the "pattern" section, it would say "white".

I'm not sure I entirely agree - I would almost rather this be handled similarly to grey. For example, a bay horse that had the white marking might have the color listed as

I like River's suggestion, too...but in general, knowing what's underneath would be really nice! :)

I support as some light reading I did earlier today suggests that "dominant white" is not a coat color so much as it is a white spotting pattern in extreme form.

I think either the original suggestion of the horse listed as the base color with "white" under patterns or base (white) would be decent.

That would be Sato, a son of Puchilingui. He has the White Spotting 5 pattern. Thoroughbreds don't carry Sabino1.

Thought I'd bring this topic back, as a discussion about the subject has arisen.

I support this. I don’t agree with River’s first point since it will still appear to newer players that white is a colour :)

Definitely support. I have a couple whites on other accounts and it would be a lot more helpful to decide breedings if I didn't have to actually check the genotype to find out what's underneath.

I think the reason why white is listed as a color is because, to the outside observer, without any genetic information on the horse, the horse appears to be white, unlike other patterns where you have a visual cue to the base color of the horse. Giving the horses' base colors when they are white is giving a clue to genetics without having to pay to get it tested. Every other horse in the game does not get that information given away for free - you can tell a bay tobiano is a bay tobiano just by looking, if you know your horse colors and patterns, without even looking at how it is labelled.

^ I don't see that much of a problem with it as it is quite honestly, and I'm more than willing to pay. I made this post a while ago and only dug it up because there was talk about it. I agree with your reasoning behind why white is considered a color, and I get what you're saying about this essentially giving away information for free. However, I'd still say that there'd be plenty of reasons to genetic test your horses even if this was implemented (like if you wanted to see if your horse was Ff, Gg, etc.).

I would not object to a warning being placed on the color/marking changing items to make sure people realize which one they need to use to get rid of white, though.
