I'm thinking about trying to get back into breeding, but currently I only have the time to run only one herd.

So, Tennessee Walking Horses, or Gypsy Vanners?

definitely Gypsies.
some markings on TWHs (cough sabino) look ugly tbh, and many players think so... they're both great breeds with pretty artwork, but I prefer Gypsies

Vanners just have so many color combinations available that they keep me busy. My group of foundies is crawling towards breeding age and I just can't wait for them to get there, I want to see the foals so bad!

I also have to suggest going Driving if you do Vanners, as that's what mine will be switched into before I breed them, haha.

^ my lil group of breeders

I love the support for Vanners and I understand the color problem with TWHs, but they were my first serious breed and I secretly love them.

How do my Vanners look so far? I mean, they've been locked up for months and months now lol

Decent Gypsies. :) It'll take hard work, patience, and perseverance. :) But will be worth it in the end.

Yeah c:

In the old game I used to have a herd of TWHs I worked really hard on. I went on hiatus for a month or more and I THOUGHT I had locked up my account. Came back to my stock aged up and some passed

There are a lot of greys and bays in your vanners, which isn't a bad thing - you can always color randomize them if you want to try for some cream genes and whatnot.

Here are my babs, being fed hay cubes for another year or so until I transfer them into driving and start with their specialty treats. I just can't wait for them to get to breeding age!

It does take a lot of patience and perseverance to make it all the way to the end, but it's definitely worth it when you get a bunch of high stat foals from it. c:

Definitely GV's. Aside from being my favourite horse breed, there's a wider variety of colours compared to TWH's.

I ♥ my Walkers, and I rather like how the sabino genes are expressed. Your mileage may vary.
