Personality: kind of bland to be honest, very much a follower but ended up being dubbed leader by her sisters.
History: Chenda, along with her sisters, were petri dish babes who were genetically modified and ended up being scientific test subjects. Chenda was mostly a success, except she was taller than they had desired. Click her link to read more.

She's very cute! I usually look for more contrast in designs, and while you've chosen colors that look nice together, there's nothing that really pops--you can't really see the dapples until you look closely, and the details of her face marking are hard to discern. It's also a good habit to avoid using pure white in a design, because if you ever want to shade it, you won't be able to highlight. All that said, she looks very sweet and I think the patterning you've done is well balanced! I also love the fading in the mane and tail!


Navigator FC, a riding pony, one of my HARPG horses. His original design is by xxElanite on deviantart, but I've altered it to include more colors. :) Using a show image to show his tack as well, since most of you guys included accessories on your character references.

All I have to say is WOW. Lovely art, and a nice shade of bay. Really love it!


I use Regulus for pretty much everything (RP, EV tags, and HARPG). The general idea of him was 'created' when doing a roleplay with a friend of mine. Then, I had Yeon do a design that was similar to him being a Sooty Buckskin with minimal white markings.
Made his new ref, and his white facial marking was a true pain. I swear I did it like 50 times over. I think it still looks off, but I'm too lazy to try and fix it. Also made his dapples very minimal.

7.5/10 - He's pretty, but a bit too simplistic for my taste. I do appreciate the fact that he was/is an RP horse, and a couple of my best characters came originally from RPs ^^

Magnus
I got this somewhat-cliche, sassy, impulsive little muffin from a write-to-adopt. He's the demigod son of a winter goddess and he himself is the minor god of frost or something. I'll just paste his story below (beware that some parts are a bit iffy and rushed-sounding).

Name: Magnus
Age: about 2 years
Gender: stallion
Species: Mustang x immortal god-horse thing
Backstory/personality junk:
Magnus thought he was normal. He grew up normal- he was born on a Mustang reservation. So he wasn't exactly wild; he was owned; but not tamed. His mother treated him like any mother would have. His father always made sure young Magnus was well protected. As for his personality, Magnus is a bit abrasive and impulsive, but he's actually pretty smart.
This seemed normal until Magnus got a bit older. He started learning that, even though, as a young colt, he thought their over-protection was normal, it wasn't. He was only 2, but he was smart. He noticed that his father sent out guards with him whenever he went somewhere. It started annoying Magnus, who was perfectly capable of going places on his own. He noticed that he looked nothing like his "mother".
So one day, he got his parents together and demanded to know their reasoning behind all this. He sounded furious, but he wasn't trying to be. He was just confused. It felt like his whole life was a lie, but he didn't know why. His father stood his ground, not telling Magnus a thing, but his mother caved. She said, sobbing, that his real mother was a goddess- Vetur, the winter goddess. She said that she had fallen in love with his father, and offered to treat the foal- Magnus -as her own so that no one was suspicious. Lastly, she told him that... that he had powers. Powers that would kill him here, in the natural world, if he tried to use them. He would probably be killed anyway if he didn't learn how to use them. So she told him that he had to go, to find this strange land where gods ruled and monsters attacked. She said he would find others like himself there- others that were half-gods; demigods. How she knew this, Magnus had no idea. But quite frankly, that was the least strangest thing he had to worry about.
He turned and ran away. In the middle of her rambling, his mother had told him that he could find this land anywhere. His life was a lie, so what did it matter if a monster ate him? He had no friends here, anyway. He heard his father scream his name, but Magnus kept running.
He finally found himself in a wintry landscape with cliffs covered in ice. He kept running, even though he was very tired and there was a cliff to one side of them. He slipped, falling over the edge. He screamed and he crashed into the icy river below.
That is, until ice sprang from his hooves and he stood on the water's surface. A wide sheet of ice was forming beneath him. He was floating on it... he was alive. He could faintly see an icy blue outline of a furry horse ahead of him. Somehow, he knew that this was Vetur, his mother. Was she here to tell him that he had harnessed his powers by making this ice-raft? He didn't know, but after he blinked, she was gone. I'm just hallucinating. he chided himself. I'm most likely dead.
But he wasn't hallucinating, or dead. After days of wandering about, he came across a ragtag group of horses- this consisted young gods and goddesses, as well as ex-racehorses (yes, really... don't ask). Strange they were, but he had a feeling that this was who his "mother" had been talking about before he had ran from his fake life. They were an odd bunch, but most carried dangerous weapons, so he didn't try to mess with them. He later learned their names, and what they were doing. They were going to see the winter goddess- his mother. And they needed his help. He would need to learn how to use his powers even more if he was going to survive here. But some of them didn't even have powers, and they had survived. So he knew that he could too.
He doesn't know this yet, because he's been like this all his life, but he cannot feel extreme cold. He can be cold, but he can't freeze.

7/10 - I loooove the color, however the markings seem all over the place to me. He's very pretty though c:

Personality: Mischievous, adventurous, and very playful. She is very smart, and takes after her dad in many ways. (I still have to develop her personality a bit more. :))

9/10 sea ponies mmmmmmm :P ... but the splash seems a bit too rounded to me

Age: IMMORTAL HAHA
Gender: mare
Species: winter god-horse thingymabob (technically speaking, she doesn't have breed, but has the body type of a Friesan or some other kind of light draft)
Personality: She's one of the most illusive and isolated gods, living on her own in her own terrain of ice and snow. She's point-blank and, well, icy (ba-dum kish). She prefers to be alone though, and spends her time creating the winter and walking through tundras. She's also Magnus's mother :O

LUNA: 8/10 - I'm not much of a person for unnatural markings, but that's just me! but quite honestly, the color is stunning o.o I'm a sucker for grey shades.

I love everything about it. The art, design, and the fact it's an HARPG horse. The only reason it's not a 10/10 is I feel the ears are a tiny bit too small. But, other than that it is wonderful!
