Landon

Landon shrugged and followed Luna into history class. He sat down at his usual desk and made sure to put his headphones back on. His headache was increasing by the minute.

Luna

While History class was going, Luna kept glancing at Landon. He looked uncomfortable, and she guessed it was because of his mind-reading power. Luna wanted to help, but she could only move things with her mind, she didn't have full powers like she used to, and she would never be able to get them back. Then Luna thought. If I can move things with my mind, can I move powers? I could transfer them to myself... So after class, when they were walking down the hall to Art, she attempted to move them to herself, resulting in a bad headache. No wonder he looked uncomfortable, she thought. This headache is terrible! After school, I'm gonna give this mind-reading ability back, IF I CAN HANDLE IT.

Landon

Landon didn't dare take his headphones off for the rest of the day, even when his headache began to go away. No way am I risking a headache like that again. It was a good thing he was so good at reading lips these days. During art class he drew figurines all over his paper, using Luna as his focus for drawing them. By the time lunch rolled around Landon was starving. There was only one problem. He forgot to get something to eat this morning. When he and Luna left the class, he looked over to her. "I forgot to bring my lunch," he spoke, though, he wasn't quite certain on the volume he was using due to the headphones.

Luna

Landon yelled at Luna, and she guessed it was because of his headphones. "Hey, why don't you take those headphones off?" Luna didn't have a headache anymore since she infused the power into her backpack, which was in her locker.

Landon

Landon gaped at what Luna had said. "Are you crazy? I mean do you want me to kill over from a massive headache?" He shook his head, refusing to take his headphones off.

Luna

"Just trust me," said Luna. "I promise you'll be fine."

Landon

Landon gave Luna a questioning look, with a hint of distrust lingering. He complied with her request, though, and slowly removed his headphones. He heard no voices of thoughts entering his head and for that he was relieved. "What did you do," he questioned.

Luna

"I used my power to move yours," said Luna. "I can move things with my mind."

Landon

Landon furrowed his brows, "Why? You can return them can't you?"

Luna

"Of course I can! You looked like you had a headache."

Nani rolled her eyes as she approached her locker. "I swear. If I find another winter formal flyer around here, I'm gonna be ticked." She muttered. Nani had at first considered going. But with the formal fast approaching, she had no one to go with. She sighed. All she ever wanted was to be normal. But that wasn't going to happen.

Landon

"If that's what you wanna call it," he scoffed. He was relieved that it was gone and thankful for Luna's help. "Thanks by the the way."  

Luna

After she had done her homework, Luna felt strange... Like everything inside told her to run. Her grandmother was already sleeping, so carefully so she wouldn't wake her up, Luna slid out the front door and climbed up the tallest tree in her yard. All of a sudden, it started raining. There was thunder, and lightning flashed from cloud to cloud. A bolt of lightning struck her, but strangely didn't hurt the tree! She ran back inside, dripping wet, took a shower, and went to bed.

Landon

Landon sat at his desk reading a book under the pale light of his lamp. The plot intrigued him very much and he was just about to flip the last page when rain suddenly began to pour and lightning lit the sky. He closed his window and read the last page, not thinking much of the sudden storm. When he finally finished the book, he threw it to the side with his other completed books and turned out the light before making his way to the bed. It wasn't for a while that he actually went to sleep though.

The next morning Landon woke up with a dull ache, not enough to cause pain, but enough to know it was there. He packed a sandwich and a few cookies before leaving for school. He had gotten to school earlier than usual and had already been to his locker only to find even more of those stupid flyers for Winter Formal. He wondered if he should go or not. 'I mean it is tomorrow.' He shook his head at the thought and made his way over to Luna's locker to wait for her.

Luna

Luna saw Landon by her locker, and more flyers taped to her locker. "Ugh," she said. "At least the formal is tomorrow. No more posters, after then."
