Art Group ??

just want to get an idea out, assess the general feeling for it.

but here's what i'm thinking: a group of artists to push each other?? Encourage? I dont really have this whole thing thought out tbh. but consider ,,, a group of artist with a really cool name (important) that are readily available to give Good Art Advice ™ and maybe take turns thinking up weekly/monthly art prompts. Not with a commercial service but more of an art accountability group idk like a group of us who support each other and all push each other to do better! i think it'd be cool.

i had a really sweet point but i forgot. it'll come to me later maybe.

ohhh!! it was really dumb i just wanted to say that i really like this smallish community and yr all so nice and i feel like art is really important to a lot of ya'll and ! i know as an amateur artist myself that encouragement and art pals are rly important and i think this would be a pretty rad opportunity

i would really like to know that if i took the time to put something together if anyone would be interested? Or would like to see the idea expanded on ?

Several other artists and myself were just discussing this the other day lol
We hope to put together a club and get some tutorials and such going, one idea was to have periodic contests to create something based off a tutorial and have a small prize for the best entry. Art prompts would also work well.

The focus on art on EV is to sell everything Dx A lot of us would like to change that around and put the emphasis on improving and having fun, then selling the art later once an artist is more comfortable.

aaaahhh yes! I'll keep an eye out for that! I see a lot of art being sold but not a lot of growth or really the right "environment" for improving. Or just people having fun w/ it. And the "critique my art!" threads have fallen a bit short, for me anyway.
I just really really like this smaller platform and would like to see it be utilized, ya know? I'm also rly thirsty for art friends haha but yeah i think it's really important to a lot of people to have a support group type / art camaraderie or w/e.
so a club would be really cool, is what im saying haha
