Getting colorful foundation horses

#73760 Posted on 2016-10-29 11:29:58

I realize this is probably going to be mostly subjective, but when you're getting foundations, do you just buy a ton and hope to get a colorful one, or buy a couple and use color/marking randomizer? What's probably the best way to do this? Thanks in advance for your input:]

Out of probably over 200 foundations (most of which I dumped due to having garbage stats), only a very small handful had "flashy" markings/genetics... for the breed anyway. Thoroughbreds don't have too much lol. I found it was easier and more cost-efficient just to pick some horses to alter with an item.

I agree with Vos; I choose horses based on stat distribution and conformation then use the randomizer for coat color and markings.

I do things a bit differently to the above. In total I have probably spent 700 000 EVD on my herd. This provided me with around 70 horses with the colours and markings I wanted, plenty of champagnes and different variations of dun and cream. If we do some maths on this each horse cost me approx 10 000.

Since a single colour randomiser costs 2 credits, or the rough equivalent of 100 000 EVD, it is MUCH more cost effective to go the stores route.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for beyond color.

I do the same as insomniaglet and vos most of the time; I purchase foundations until I get the conformation I want, then randomize if necessary from there.

I go for stat spread first...And use coat colour applicators .

Wow so sometimes you get better stats from the store? Terrible luck here just 50-54 every darn time.
