I don't understand genotypes. I can, if I read the genetics guide, but I can't memorize it all while trying to look up just one difficult pattern (like few spot). I can memorize that specific pattern, yes, but it's annoying to have to go to the guide each time I want to search a pattern.

Yeah that would be good if you don't care about homozygous or heterozygous

I do think it'd be a good idea for those that don't understand the genotypes, but (and please don't think I'm a jerk for this please please) Learning the genotypes isn't impossibly hard. The genetics guide along with the custom horse creator (so you can see what the genes do and are called) helped me learn the ones important for my breeds. Once you learn them for one, it's pretty easy to learn them for the others.

The nice thing about being able to search by pattern is that T+ and TT would both show as results for tobiano. Right now we have no way to search for T? even if you understand genetics well, you have to run two separate searches then cross compare the horses that result from said searches which while not too difficult can be cumbersome.

I just get bothered. I'm sorry to cause offense if I did. I play a couple of games like this with all sorts of animals.

^that's a great suggestion! I tried looking to see which colors of a breed were rare, but it's hard to tell if it's non-existent in the breed or just very rare

Yes please!! One game in particular, they have a search like the one you're describing. I get loads of messages on there (because I specialize in certain colors and patterns on each game) asking why they're priced different if they're the same. ($5,000 difference between heterozygous and homozygous.) You would not believe how many of those questions I get on there and how many people report players like me because they think we're being unfair. It's crazy. The other thing that bothers me about it, new players are going to think that all horses come in all colors. It's very confusing simply because there's so much information in one area without an explanation there. Not everyone takes the time to look at our epic forum posts :D :D This does seem like a problem, but I'd just write down the difference and why they're different prices in the public notes♥ of course, there's no guarantee that people will read them, but then I think it's kinda their problem as the info and reasoning is right there on the horse's page lol and it seems most people on EV know the difference and aren't like that, so we should be good :D
