Rescue Center Ideas

-I would like to be able to take care of a rescue horse in the center as a volunteer. You could get a prize if you take care of so many horses in a day, and the better cared for horse is more likely to be adopted.

- Be able to filter by Gender, not only breed and stats

- Be able to give a treat, or "pet"( happiness action, that should exist) any horse in the game

For your first idea - It wouldn't really make sense to have this be implemented because the RC automatically takes care of the horses in it.

For your third idea - This is a cute little extra thing that could be added, but what good would this do? Would anyone benefit from this, or would it just be a small extra thing we could do?

I like the treat idea, but mostly the filter by gender idea. You should also be able to filter by colors and patterns!

@Wey: I think that it would give the horse happiness - maybe 5%?

1. No opinion either way. Technically they're already cared for, however being able to interact with them in some way could be ok.

2. Gender filter makes sense. Support.

3. Patting horses, including those owned by others, to give them a small happiness bonus sounds cute and fun, without giving them a major bonus. 5% sounds sensible. I also see no reason to limit it - you can pat as many horses as you like, and horses can be patted by any amount of people. After all the bonus is only small, and is capped at 100% happiness, so there seems to be no major benefit if some horse is popular enough to get lots of pats. Support patting, but not treating, unless the treat doesn't give stats or count towards the horse's once-a-day treat, as the owner may prefer to give a different type of treat. Perhaps if the treat was something like a handful of grass? So you wouldn't need it in your inventory or anything, it would just be a button you could press on their page, and a different one for patting.

I like and support all of these ideas. Maybe not to the extent of actually caring for them... But some kind of quirky addition. Just for something else to do as previously mentioned.

Maybe you could earn 1 EVD for every horse you care for?

Just FYI, you *can* sort by gender in the RC. You have to do it through the horse search page rather than directly in the RC itself. Just set your parameters to 'Resuce - show ONLY rescue horses' and 'Locked - include locked horse' (since RC horses are locked). Then just select whatever gender you're seeking.

I'm OK with people being able to do things to raise the happiness of a horse while in the Rescue Center, but I am opposed to people doing things to raise the stats of a horse in the RC. For one thing, horses are only in the RC for three days, so it's not a big deal if a horse misses three days of treats. However, most horses in the RC do not have an assigned specialty. Random people would be giving random treats, raising random stats, which may or may not help a horse towards its future specialty. You could be raising a horse's strength, when I wanted to use it for show jumping. Now it's less valuable to me, and less likely to be adopted than if no one had given it treats.

But hey, if people want to do something like pet the RC ponies and make them happy, that has no drawbacks. It's not a desperately important thing, since they don't stay in the RC long enough to become too terribly unhappy unless they were neglected before they were given up, but if it makes people happy, I don't see any problem with it.
