DWB breeders..what do you look for?

#62392 Posted on 2016-08-21 08:20:57

I've started some Dutch Warmbloods so I'm wondering, what do Players who breed them look for in a DWB?

Their colors are basic so are there any that are more sought after then others? Patterns? Are there specific disciplines you prefer for Warmbloods? If you were looking for a stud, what is the perfect DWB to you?

Thanks!

I'm glad to see a new Warmblood breeder! Make sure you join the club and get added on to the Breeders Directory. Also (when your horses reach the stat requirements) register them within the club! :)

I look for chestnuts and blacks with preferably Roan and/or Tobiano markings but anything except gray is fine for me. Preferably 55+ conformation and high (i.e. 500+) stats. That'd my perfect stud really as I breed for all three breeding aspects.

The most popular discipline for DWBs is Show-Jumping but Driving and Dressage are also vaguely popular.

High conformation is my first priority, with stats as a close second, and color (solid or tobiano [TT]) as a plus. I breed for show jumping.

High stats and clean uncommon pedigrees with parents/lineage having very few foals. I'm more partial to blacks and chestnut roans over any other colour.
