As Good As I Once Was {Horse RP S-Us}

I hope you love this RP, as I put a lot of work into it.

A fiery Mustang.
A champion reining horse.
A beloved child's pony.
A gentle draft horse.
What do they all have in common? They were all from great homes once, but they've ended up at a slaughterhouse. Just like you.
But they want to get out. And so do others. Will you try and run away with them? Or will you accept your fate?

RULES:
*Each character talks in first person when you are playing them.
*Yes, you CAN kill your own characters.
*No, you CANNOT kill others' characters unless you ask them AND me.
*Feel free to add plot twists on your own, but please message me if you have any major ideas.
*You can have up to five characters.
*I don't care about even genders, but please don't have five stallions and no mares. Use common sense.
*Your character(s) backstory can be as short or long as you want it, but please don't make it stereotypical and boring.
*BE VERY DETAILED AND LITERATE! I can't stress this enough!
*The slaughterhouse in the story is located in Utah, in case you wanted to base your backstories off the location.
*There is an adventure in this. It's not just the horses at the slaughterhouse the whole time.
*Use common sense. If three horses ran away one day, and two horses ran away 5 days later, there's no way they would catch up to them (unless the three horses stopped for a while).

Name Of The Character: Ridge

VERY DETAILED Description: Ridge is a black overo Mustang gelding with a bald face and ice-blue eyes. He has a long, matted, mane and tail. His hooves are cracked and brittle. He has a BLM brand on the left side of his upper neck, and a Rocking T brand on his left shoulder. He has stockings on all four of his legs. Ridge is very scarred from fighting; his most visible scars are hoof marks on his rump, multiple slashes on his flanks from spurs, and a thick scar across the bridge of his nose from wearing a rope halter while being a saddle bronc. He is thick and muscular, and stands at 15.4 hh. He has a little bit of feathers on his fetlocks. He also has a roman nose. The gelding is 7 years old. He used to be a dark, shiny black, but now he's starting to fade along his midsection due to lack of care at the slaughterhouse.

VERY DETAILED Personality (NOT A List): Ridge is introverted, cocky, pushy, savage, and willing to kill humans. He hates other horses, and will lash out at the drop of a dime. He is pretty secure, and is very confident he can run away by himself and survive. He does not want a mate, at least not until he becomes wild again and "starts his herd", as he claims he'll do.

VERY DETAILED Backstory: Ridge was wild in Utah until he was 3 years old. Then, the BLM captured him so that he could be adopted. But Ridge didn't want to be adopted, even though many nice people wanted him because he was so pretty. The cocky young stallion charged anybody who stood by his pen, so no one ended up getting him. After weeks of this, two men from Rocking T Ranch (located in Utah) came to get the remaining four mustangs. They took an immediate liking to the fiery youngster, and he became their best bucking bronco in their weekly saddle bronc events. After a while, however, he became a bit too savage. When the cowboys fell off, he would charge them like a bull. So he was gelded. For 4 years he lived at Rocking T, until one day, he trampled a fallen cowboy. Paramedics came, but Ridge had killed the poor man. So, reluctantly, the people of Rocking T Ranch decided to send the beast to slaughter. And here he is.

Name Of The Character: Sugar

VERY DETAILED Description: Sugar is a fat bay pony mare, standing at 13.8 hh. Hey ratty mane is middle-length and choppy. Her tail is also ratty, and it drags the ground. She has kind amber eyes that always have a sadness to them. She has some feathers on her fetlocks, as well as some longer hairs on her belly and under her head. She is a 18-year-old crossbred (no one has known her breed in a long time). She has several large scars on her from a storm accident. She has a permanent limp in her left front leg from a shoulder injury (more on that in her backstory).

VERY DETAILED Personality (NOT A List): Sugar used to be cheerful and perky, but now she's sad and miserable. But she never lets it show, even though it's rather evident. She has always had a motherly, protective personality. She is often calm and steady. She misses her old owner very much. She is traumatized of storms.

VERY DETAILED Backstory: Sugar was bred by a small horse breeder in Utah; nothing fancy. They sold her when she was 1 year old to a Pony Club near them, and the Pony Club used her to teach the kids about young horse training. As she grew older, she was used for lessons and Children's Sporting events, both English and Western. She lived at the Pony Club until she was 11, but all through the decade it broke her heart each time a kid grew older and stopped riding her. However, the summer she was 11, a huge storm hit, and the river in her pasture flooded. She got injured trying to get away from it, but she finally managed to get over a broken section of fence. One of the other horses in her pasture fell into the river and drowned. She and two others escaped, but they ran away, leaving Sugar there alone. She stumbled around in the storm, trying to clear her eyes, but she ended up wandering onto a road. Cars swerved around her, but one accidentally hit her left shoulder, causing her to have a permanent limp in that leg. Eventually, someone called a vet to come get her. It was unlikely she would ever be able to be ridden again due to her shoulder injury, but she made a very good recovery, and even her gaping cuts healed, except for the scars. She still had a permanent limp, but she could walk good enough. A year later, she was given the O.K. to be taken home. No one knew whose horse she was, so she was sent to a local rescue. Many young children and their parents came to look at her, but they were turned down by her limp. Finally, a 6-year-old girl and her mom adopted her. The girl, Sarah, rode her around their large field Western for 6 years, never getting tired of the mare. She constantly "braided" Sugar's mane, but the motherly pony never minded. It made her happy. But then, when the girl was 12 and the horse was 18, another terrible storm hit. Sugar had been traumatized last time, so she ran around frantically. She managed to jump the fence, even though she was growing old, and she ran off through the woods. She got all cut up again, and hurt her injured shoulder. She was spotted 3 days later by the slaughter truck, and they thought she had broken her shoulder, so they loaded the now-calm mare up and took her to the slaughterhouse. Sarah never saw her again, and she probably never will.

Name Of The Character: Niagara

VERY DETAILED Description:Niagara is like most others has an raggedy skinny appeal. She has very Appealing eyes as one is a hazel color and the other a staggering light blue.Her coat when not matted and covered in dirt is is a smokey grullo color. She has a tiny belly marking on her lower side near her flank. As well as various scars around the under leg from trying to escape through the fence. She Has a very unique marking on her face as it splits in the middle going all the way down to her pink nose.
VERY DETAILED Personality (NOT A List): Niagara can be very skittish at times. Though she is a strong pushing mare. She is a very hard kind to get to know. She is not afraid to shed blood if needed though would rather not. She has not always had the personality type that drools over stallions though many refer to her as an eye catcher.

VERY DETAILED Backstory: She was used as a speed event horse. With her short stocky build she could turn on a dime. Though when her rider got into an accident and she crushed her when se fell on her. They decided to get rid of her thinking it was all her fault the the rider was hurt. instead of finding her a home they would have rather seen her die.

Also, which eye is which color? And how old is she?(I know I'm nitpicky don't judge me)

Hey, Raptorfang. You'd mentioned possibly making this a private RP awhile back. I am so sorry it took so long to get back to you. I have been absolutely swamped lately. I really hope you could forgive me. :/ I am really interested in this RP. It has great bones to it. If you're still interested and we did make it private, I would prefer just role playing with one person. But if Laney really would like to stay on, I'm flexible.

Tiger, unfortunately, we're probably going to be making this private, or possibly include Laney (since she signed up a long time ago already). Sorry :(
