confo question

What is the basic stud price for a horse who has all but one Excellents in his conformation? (the only one that's not an Excellent is a Good)

I'm not looking for a stud, I want to know how much to charge for my stud. :)

I think it depends on other attributes as well (color, stats, pedigree, etc). I'd pay much more for a stud with high stats, a rare color, and a short pedigree than I would for an 18th gen bay stallion with 300 stats :)

I usually price my higher quality studs at $100 per stat plus or minus a few thousand based on the above considerations.

Ditto what Kahzie said but I would pay more for a stallion who was only going to have 3-4 foals.

Hmmm... he's a custom so you can bet he has good colors! Before the recode, he was a snowflake Appaloosa- very rare. Now he's "roan varnish roan", but I think that's still good. He has no pedigree, and no foals yet. I will check his stats now!

edit: His stats are very low, but do you still think I could get decent money off of him? I'm training him up and showing him now, so I'm sure his stats will get a little higher...

Im assuming this is for your stallion Charcoal?

he's black based, which is always preferable to bay, but neither varnish roan nor roan are particularly "WOW" when it comes to color breeding. His confo for a store is incredible, but he has pretty low stats and is trained in a discipline that's pretty uncommon for Apaloosas (Less than 75 are in racing)

you'd probably get the most interest from conformation breeders, and I'm honestly not sure what they're willing to pay.

Given everything else and assuming he as trained in the discipline my mares were, I would pay maybe 10k as a stud fee. If he were 300+ I'd pay maybe 50k? But I'm not focused on confo, so I might be wayyy off! :)

I'm very upset about his color not being rare. That's why I bought him before :(
I had another Snowflake on a spare, and also a Fewspot. The Fewspot was the only I had ever seen before the recode, so I was apparently very rare.
AND, the Fewspot now changed to a Leopard, even though Fewspot is still in the game. Should I submit a ticket?

His confos amazing for a foundation, all of those horses with high confo seem to be from before the recode. I wonder what caused that?

Well, he was from before the recode, but I still don't think he'd be THAT good!
