#52574 Posted on 2016-07-12 19:08:08 Hello! I took about a weak break from the game, only to return still addicted. I've decided to stick with my Dutchies but am uncertain about what name theme I should stick to. I was considering Latin flower names (or just flower names) for the mares and island/land form names for stallions. That is, since I like nature related names. So any ideas or input? The only horses I have that could be said to have a theme would be my dwbs which mostly have "geeky" or "nerdy" inspirations to their names. my dwbs 0 members like this post. And with the island counterparts you'll have a regular Island getaway in your stables xD I have numerous themes since I have tons of breeds! my favorites are the Misspelled Line of Arabians based on misspellings of words, and my Dictionary Reference line of DWBs that all have awesome vocab words that I try to match a bit from their parents with meanings. I especially love Canine Unit and Punnet Squares because they are so unique. I would never think of those when naming my horses. Sabriel, that's true! I never thought of it that way; an island getaway. I really like that. cx Oh, I really like your name themes; especially the dictionary references. I always like fancy words that have cool meanings. Such as Sub Rosa, which means happening in secret. And villain names; that's cool too! Agapi, naming horses after favorite songs is always fun! I like how your names are all different but yet go well together. I also like how each horse has a nickname that goes prefectly with their name. I actually didn't know what sub rosa until watching Mysteries of Laura recently, the victim's "secret" was literally under the dead in the house! a super cool play on words. I also have a line with my Trakes that all have names where the word take is substituted with trake, it's amazing how many phrases you can come up with that way!
