With the treats, we currently have two types:
- The 'basic' treats (e.g. apples, carrots, etc) which give a small amount of stats in a known stat, and are therefore good for small but targeted increases in stats. Can be purchased in the store and are mostly fixed in price.
- The 'special' treats (e.g. sugar cubes, hay cubes, peppermints, etc) which give (usually) larger stat increases but in random stats, and are therefore good at increasing total stats, but not necessarily the stats that would be useful for the horse's discipline. Can only be obtained from playing or buying off other players and price reflects the market.
Details at Item Catalogue

Since most people focus on a particular discipline rather than overall stats, could we modify the special treats so that instead of the stats being added at random, they are instead focused on the stats relevant to the horse's discipline. And if the horse has no discipline it could still be random.

I think this would increase the value and usefulness of these special treats, and add a boost to the economy.

I think that would be really cool! And then normal treats could have a lower stat increase and it could also be random!

I like the original idea, because I think that it would boost the economy as well. I think more people would also invest in purchasing the special treats because they have a bigger reward. Personally I don't use them because I find them so expensive to obtain... But if they were targeted towards specific stat increases, I could see myself getting in on it!

Also, Ruby Redfort, I think the normal treats should be left out of this. Normal treats already only give a 0-2 stat change, I really don't think it needs to get any lower...

The only reason I don't support this is that right now, the bulk of the items I get from riding school are sugar and hay cubes. So I don't think it would truly boost the economy anymore because they're easy to come by.

I imagine if they should suddenly become specialised then the treats would made to be a lot harder to obtain and therefore rarer. Once that happens, their price will jump up as there are always players willing to buy rare items no matter how many they own currently. It's like the peppermint/christmas treat market on the old EV.

I changed my mind on this. Currently Sugar Cubes are essentially worthless and Hay Cubes only a little less so because they are so common and are only of benefit to those who are going to convert disciplines.

I would have: Sugar Cubes random 0-1 in both specialty stats (i.e.: 0-2 overall, same as normal treats); Hay Cubes random 0-2 in both specialty stats (make them rarer); then Peppermints 0-3 in both specialty stats.
