* spun around in saddle - check
* some what trick rode - not brave enough
* swam with a horse - ive gone swimming because of my current horse, my first horse yes
* rode a tiny pony - define tiny, I put a "leg over" the minis occasionally but dont actually sit on them

* rode stirrupless - check
* controlled horse with legs - That's how you 'control' (hate that word) a horse when riding tackless, with just a neckrope. It's not just squeezing and sitting. With tackless, there's a lot of leg cues, as well as how you sit. To stop, I sit deep, and put my legs forward.

Also my mare goes by vocal commands only. Only the occasional use of reins, for direction. As she is incredibly sensitive, emotionally and physically.

* rode backwards- Yes. I was sitting on Mack bareback, and he just started walking around, didn't give a crap about me.
* spun around in saddle - Nope.
* some what trick rode - Does hanging off the side, grabbing mane, and saddle horn, while your horse is galloping, count? My mare crow hopped, then took off, and at the time I didn't have well balance. So....yeah.
* swam with a horse - Nope. I can't swim. But, we've gone in knee deep water, to cross the creek.
* rode a tiny pony - When I was an itty bitty kid yes.

I've not cantered bareback - I just started getting brave enough to ride my mare bareback - was going to try to canter her, the other day, but lost motivation when the farrier showed up. lol I have ridden bridleless, though... lol My mare is an absolutely SAINT. I haven't swam with her, yet, though. We have a pond at the barn, so, we can take them out swimming. Last time I tried (I had her on the end of a lunge line) she acted like she had NO clue what swimming was. lol

All three of these, yes. Swimming was the most memorable. I was very, very nervous, and my lease, at the time, was a goon. Something rubbed his leg coming out of the water on the bank and he dumped me. lol Goofy pony. I enjoyed it - anxiety and all.
* rode stirrupless
* controlled horse with legs
* swam with a horse

* rode stirrupless - Every single week, it's part of my general routine for fitness and solidifying my leg position. I post/two point w/o stirrups for 10- 15 minutes once a week. I usually canter as well for a bit if I feel I need too, through I tend to actually have more issues with my stirrups so I try not to let myself cheat by dropping them very often!

* controlled horse with legs - that's how you ride. (;

* rode backwards - Probably at some point, but bit of a waste of time and a touch dangerous, eh?

* spun around in saddle - I've done 'Around the World' when I was learning to ride, on occasion I have my kids do it as well. Good exercise if someone is holding the horse.

* some what trick rode - I worked with trick riders and I've done things like stand in the saddle and some minor tricks in the walk, but in general I left that crazy stuff to them. I like staying in the saddle...

* swam with a horse - Yup. Not a fan of it though- it was out in the ocean in Kachemak Bay. I just rather be on land.

* rode a tiny pony - I'm short, it's a given.

FG, has it been investigated whether LEo's saddle fits properly or not? Maybe that's why he doesn't seem to like it

Here's a picture that makes me look cool...

Has anyone else ever done one of these?-
* rode stirrupless - yes! I do it at the end of pretty much every ride I go on
* rode backwards - only once and I almost fell off xD
* spun around in saddle - yes, I believe it's called 'around the world'
* some what trick rode - no but I would love to try
* swam with a horse - no but it's close to the top of my bucket list!
* rode a tiny pony - the smallest I have ridden is 12hh (exmoor cross) :P

Anybody have a riding bucket list? What achievements would you like to have?
For me, a few of the main things is:
* riding completely tackless
* riding on the beach
* galloping on the beach
* galloping flat out in fields (I have done this but I would repeat non-stop if I could)
* swimming with a horse
* and more but it's a friday and I'm tired haha

I used to ride bareback all the time when I was younger on our miniature Shetland, we actually had no saddle and so that was our only option ("Our" meaning me and my sister). I have not cantered bareback in awhile, but I did it maybe a couple of years ago on a much larger horse. Though now that I think of it, I haven't ridden a horse since last year on September the 30th... my sister and my birthday (Beauty of being twins, we have to share everything), and that was just a simple hour trail ride... Before that, it has been easily over 3 years now for not riding. I miss it greatly, but due to back injuries, riding would do me no good, so I do not do it as often if at all.

Though I have to say bareback riding was a all-time favourite, and I loved it so much. I also love your horse and the ride looked exciting in the video, and I too love your horse's rug, so cool. Our pony's rug is only white, and I don't believe it fits him any more, porky is getting a little fatter every day. lol.

Also, with the check list:

- Rode stirrupless: Yes, I have.
- Controlled horse with legs: I haven't done this, but my sister has.
- Rode backwards: No, yet again, my sister has.
- Spun around in saddle: Yes, I have actually done this... I think only once though.
- Some what trick rode: No, but yet again, my sister has.
- Swam with a horse: No, but I sure wish I can one day.
- Rode a tiny pony?: Absolutely, that was our only free riding horse available, still is the only horse we have, a miniature Shetland pony

As I don't ride as much, though my sister still does, her feet dragging across the ground as she is so tall while Benson (Our pony) is really small, around 8 hands. Though she has trick trained him and does all sorts of tricks on and with him,
including:
- sit
- lie down
- kiss
- shake head
- nod
- count with hoof
- shake with hoof
- wave
- bow
- rear
- etc...
