This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, Bye, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

A lot of people like to record their horses' birth stats so they can keep track of their growth. I kinda figure that since a lot of us already did that, why not just make it a feature in the game?

It would be useful for training convert as well since the birth/base stats will be not shift around, just stats that are gained after birth. It would be nice to able to see how much is the base.

The game already remember the base stats for convert training, why not just make it visible for us...

More details in my next post.

Just use the horse notes, they were added back in for this reason. :/

Actually, I used notes to record the ancestors and use word document to record all stats...

The problem with notes, not everyone have time to record all birth stats. Often, newer or younger players doesn't record that until after several breedings and having more experience in the game.

For example... I am thinking about buying this amazing horse but he had wrong specialize.

His current stats are:
STR: 300
SPD: 80
AGI: 50
INT: 70
END: 300

But his birth stats were:

STR: 250
SPD: 70
AGI: 30
INT: 50
END: 200

So that means, his stats will be more driving focused even if I use convert training and swap him to show jumping. I rather to not waste my money and convert his specialize because it will just make him all balanced out (that favors driving side little more) instead of specialized focused.

If his birth stats something like this:

STR: 100
SPD: 70
AGI: 40
INT: 50
END: 80

then covert training will be more effective. I am willing to spend some money on that.

That's why I would like to able to see ALL horses' birth stats. Also, notes are not visible to everyone.

EDIT:
ALSO... Notes doesn't protect you from bugs. A lot of my horses had their birth stats shifted during the transfer from old EV. Now, my years of hard working of documenting my horses' stats are worthless. Sure, I can spend hours updating my work for speed and agility. But I can't update strength, endurance, and total because I already fed my horses in those area. If the game documented it, a little fix in code can solve this. Depending on coding and the bug, the game probably would updated the birth stats to match the bug automatically...

The game already remember the base stats for convert training, why not just make it visible for us...

Mm, I think it would only be confusing.
Maybe if it was under a link, and not a list like the current stats. I can see how it is very helpful to have that kind of stuff, but having two lists of stats is a bit distracting.

I don't like this idea personally, as I often buy and rescue low statted horses to breed into my herd for colour/other reasons. I'll peppermint / bouquet the babies so they reach the stat quality of my other horses - to have low stats at birth listed on their page would feel like branding them as lesser.

I just copy birth stats into notes the day they're born, boom, done. I don't think it takes that much time to copy/paste into notes. If anything it takes longer to write anything else like ancestors and breeding notes in.

Also agree with SolE. No support, just an unnecessary addition.

While I agree this is a very minor feature, it would be useful. I would support it so long as it was unobtrusive, didn't clutter up the horse page, and couldn't be confused for the current stats. Perhaps if it was hover text associated with each of the current stats?

@ SolE, actually, I don't think it will reduce their value... I don't care if horses' birth stats are lower than normal as long as they caught up. For me, make birth stats visible probably will convinced me more to buy a horse with low birth stats. Why? Convert Training... Low stats with a lot of peppermints horse can make a lovely candidate for covert training. I rarely see people complaining about low birth stats as long as they retired with at least 500 stats (store standard).

@ Maple, copying and paste birth stats doesn't solve convert training issues and bug issues. Plus, they aren't visible to everyone and not everyone does that.

I've been avoiding buying horses from other players because of that. I don't want to waste my money on horses and only to find out that convert training are pointless. Then that horse' value went down because the stats are too evened out and most people doesn't want a horse with evened out stats and it cost 2 credits to convert him again.

I am offering a solution for those and it is such small addition...

@ Ulysses and Palaye, I am open to the hover and link idea. Or to anything that make it less obtrusive.

I support this, it would be a nice addition to the game to see how far you've come. Notes can't be seen by everyone. A link to a seperate page would be nice, maybe some kind of a table to show how often you get stats from shows or treats, days that you don't get any stats, etc.

I really see your point. Especially when it comes to convert. However the feature would be implemented is not as important as the feature itself. Whether it's under a link or on the page itself matters little to me.

I think this is a great idea because I often wonder how far some of my horses have come. I just started putting my start stats in my notes box this week, and I've been playing for a long time. I finally just got tired of wondering and thought to myself "why don't I just record it then?" but I have often thought that this should be a feature.

Maybe we could show them on deceased horses? There's a lot of space left from the feeding, etc tools, so there's a massive gap where their current stats are. We could put them there? It would be cool because then we could see how far the horse has come.

Also, sometimes people want to use their horses notes for other things...

Support.
I don't do stats, but them old babs that I obsessively fed Christmas treats probably came a long way...

I really like this idea but I would definitely want it more at the bottom, out of the way. I wouldn't want it next to its current stats.
