Okay so I never did a July 4th update, so I'm doing that now!
Me and mom were dropped off in Corunna, we walked from the road straight to the back of the festival, as the pony ride rides were in the back. There was Fury, a beautiful grey stallion, he handles pretty well, there was Mabeline and Flower. Max was Flower's brother.
I met Chip's mother, she thought I was my mom and my mother was me, just for the day only, but I did really well with the horses. Mabeline was excellent, Fury on the other hand was perfectly suited because he was a bigger horse. And, of course, I've said now and again that Fury reminds me of Mad Max: Fury Road. That's true and because its an awesome name for a big boy horse.
Me, switching back and forth from Mabeline to Fury, Chip and sometimes his mother would walk Flower or Max, the saddle and pad would be switched from Max to Flower, and I would handle Mabeline but also Fury. Then a girl comes over, a very nice one I must say, probably around my age or younger, and I offered her to walk with me and she helped with the horses for the most part. Mostly Fury, because she liked him and he's a good stallion.
There was watermelon in a clear container, Izzy the goat was given a couple pieces of watermelon, I didn't really want to eat some because I wasn't that hungry but I soon did and my mother went to go buy some fries and came back. She fell when she was walking, almost ran over by the white clydes for the horse carriage, but she made it back in one piece.
Fury saw the big clydes, neighing to them and trying to get their attention, me, Chip, and Caroline took notice because Fury was looking at the big boy horses. We were also laughing and just letting Fury try and get the clydes attention, because as we put it "hey, where are you going? Come over here!" or something like that. I don't really remember but I did remember that we were just doing or thing while also letting Fury neigh to the clydes.
Eventually I got Mabeline to look at the clydes, similar to Fury, but she didn't really care. She's a black tobiano mare with an uncaring attitude for other horses, she did look at them with her ears raised and attention towards the clydes. But she went back to doing her job.
A few hours later and the festival was over and done with, for the most part because of the fireworks, and horses don't really like the fireworks. Well, some horses are raised to not care about loud noises, still they can get spooked anyways. Izzy the goat was also in the trailer for the most part of the day.
Oh and two black kittens were named Moe and Larry by my mother, it was a joke but the kittens were named anyways, its funny and hilarious but also very adorable. Chip had his cat but he realized that the kitten didn't like people, so the cat got to stay in his or her crate for the entire duration of the festival.
And that was for the belated July 4th update, now onto tomorrow's pony ride job!
I am excited to work with horses, mostly because I get to do what Chip does with teaching the kids about the ponies and the animals, and I also wonder what kind of ponies they'll switch out for. Flower and Mabeline were around me the longest since I worked with them, Flower was just a pony for the baby-babies still very adorable and cute for shetlands or mini horses. I don't remember what Flower's breed of horse was at all..
But I do hope to work with them again, it was so fun to work with the horses during Curwood and July 4th! September will be an interesting year for apple orchard pony rides the WHOLE month, October is the same month like September, I am very interested in tomorrow's pony rides.
I've been excited for two days now and I can't wait to hear from Caroline! I called Caroline myself on my mother's phone, because I'm not trusted with phones since I lost three when I was younger and broke one.. not trusted, she has considered getting me a phone with a 25$ plan and then there was a coupon for a free phone or a 1$ phone - that was like last week or something.. I don't know but she has considered getting me a phone at one point.
Anyways I called Caroline, I said I was interested then I asked what time and where the pony rides will be, as my mother helped me out. I was anxious at first, since it was left in voicemail because Caroline lives on a farm and works with animals like any good woman that owns racehorses (Thoroughbred's) and ponies and probably lots more animals as well. Then I wasn't anxious after the voicemail message and me and mom high fived each other as we always do.
But yeah, that's both updates in one post, it was just easier to wait for the pony ride job and then do the updates. At least for me since I don't really have school but it'll be interesting when I do have school during Sept and probably Oct as well. Weekends I'm good to go because I have nothing else better to do than writing, being in this community, reading, and doing other stuff like walking my dog with my mom or just chilling around and taking naps like a chair potatoe that I am.
And I think that's all I have to post, so yeah I am done with the updates from here on out for now. I'll wait until I hear from Caroline and update you all if I need too. At least keep in touch with everyone on here after all, you're the best ever!

You deserve these ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥'s!
EDIT: We could not make it to the Pony Ride job, it was Davidson Farmer's Market, that's on the otherside of Flint and we could not find transportation to take us there. My grandma and uncle were off at their jobs, I don't have a driver's license yet so I can't get a car thus I am stuck walking with my lovely mother. I love to go on walks with her, but we would have to wake up at the literal crack of dawn just to get to the Davidson Farmer's Market on the otherside of Flint.
