Foundation NSS High VS Low
Foundation NSS High VS Low |

Foundations are the building blocks of all breeders for Equiverse, however, many get discarded due to having a high NSS of over 60. I recently came across two such horses, a Western Thoroughbred Stallion, and a Racing Thoroughbred mare. Now for context, many breeders in this game chose low NSS, however, you can breed high NSS horses to get lower NSS if you know what to do and look for.
Before I breed any of my Thoroughbred mares I chose studs based around the mare's NSS and Confo. Mares with a High NSS of 60 or more are bred to lower NSS studs while Stallions with High NSS are bred to lower NSS mares. I have bred several tester foals to prove my theory, and I am willing to share the results of my findings. I breed Thoroughbreds for all disciplines and try to go for low NSS, however, my side project is High to low NSS breeding. Which is a side project of mine.
My Racing mare; My Lady Gray is a bit of an enigma she has an NSS of 64 which is high for racing I bred her to two tester studs and got two very different results that I want to share with you now.
The First of My Lady Gray's foals is Lady Admiral; sired by ◦°˚RA|46 Admiral R★W. Lady Admiral's Sire had an NSS of 54. After breeding the pair I went over Lady Admiral's NSS, and discovered that Lady Admiral received 54 NSS as her sire. Which was a 10-point drop from her dam's NSS. ◦°˚RA|46 Admiral R★W had been a stud that I covered My Lady Gray too owned by another player.
The Second foal of My Lady Gray is Out of Gray; Sired by In Or Out. Out of Gray's sire has an NSS of 59. When bred Out of Gray was born with 62 NSS a 2-point drop from My Lady Gray's 64 NSS.
I do have plans to breed My Lady Gray again to match her with the best Stud to get lower NSS foals those results will be posted as I go along for her.
The Second High NSS horse I have is the Western Thoroughbred Stallion Cowboy with a born NSS of 62. Cowboy has sired 1 foal named Cowboy's Oakley; the Dam is named Anny Oakley. Cowboy's Oakley was born with 56 NSS which is a 6-point drop from Cowboy's 62 NSS.
I do have plans on breeding Cowboy to a lower NSS Western Thoroughbred mare if I have one available, but so far Cowboy is looking good with the mare he was paired with.

One of the main things to look at while matching breeding pairs:
What ever combination of NSS, you should have opposite NSS numbers for that pair
For example:
If the mare has NSS of even, even, odd, then the stallion should have NSS of odd, odd, even.
It doesn't matter what the numbers are. If the mare has an even number, the stallion should have an odd number for that stat.
This will give you your best chance of reducing NSS.
When I am doing a pairing, my FIRST criteria is opposing NSS numbers.

Thank you for your input, I will be sure to add your notes with the next set of pairings I do.
