Lots of questions so I have lots of answers :) 

Layouts: typically people purchase layouts from other members. you can post that you are in need or can look at others' layouts to see who coded it and ask if theyre open for commissions. i personally have purchased coding from River, TMRanch, etc. as far as the image goes, that is separate. some people can do both imaging and coding, or you can try doing it yourself. there is also a free layout generator posted somewhere on here too, but i cant recall where or who made it. 

Tags: to use it as a tag you just simply save it to your computer. you can use a hosting site such as imgur to get a link, the link just needs to end in .png .jpg .jpeg or something similar to show up. 

Custom horse creator: if you are talking about the coat selector that can be purchased via credits, you feed it to a horse and can select any coat color applicable to that breed, whereas the custom horse creator is a completely custom horse meaning you can select the coat color, and ALL markings including white markings, legs, face, etc. It comes with the same base stats as a horse from the equine center for whatever discipline you choose.

I was wondering how to change my riding school discipline?

You can’t; it changes daily to a random discipline.

You can, so long as they're sized 150x150 or less.

yes you can! as sib said, they have to be 150px by 150px or less. if you have a tag that is that small, copy the image address and go to your home page, scroll down, and you will see the "your tag" place to put your link c:

Also, when you put your horses in your own riding school, I know you don't get money but do you get XP?

When you buy more arena's you can make more shows. 10 shows per arena, to a max. of being able to make 300 shows a day.

And I do believe you get xp for putting horses in your own riding school, but when you put them in someone else's you get money, but the riding school owner gets a small amount as well. So I'd always choose another riding school.
