Driving GV Long-Term Breeding Partner

#272237 Posted on 2024-03-01 08:07:10

Hi, all!!

I've been breeding Driving GVs for a decade here at EQ, and with all the time I've spent away from this game, that's four generations - I'm on my 5th now. I've been able to inject some great studs and broods from Only The Wind's herd and a few others to vary up bloodlines, but I'm interested in finding someone with similar breeding goals to continue to vary up pedigrees and prevent inbreeding as I enter into the 5th generation.

Here's what's really important to me, in order from most to least.

1- No inbreeding/deceased anywhere in pedigree. I know it's silly, but it's important to me - I don't breed or buy horses like this. I don't care how far back the lines go, as long as the pedigree is clean!

2- Low NSS. I'm working on getting mine lower, since I didn't start in 2014 with low NSS in mind, but I don't keep or breed any horses with NSS above 60.

3- Confirmation. In my 5th gen, I'm trying to prioritize confo above 60, which isn't always possible, so it's not the most important thing, but I do look for it.

4- Stats. I prefer stats above 1k before breeding, which again, not always possible, but I am trying!

5- Color. I don't mind too much, since I already have a pretty good range of attractive coats and patterns in my herd, but if I get a foal with no exciting genes to pass on, I typically give them a flaxen, silver, or pangare modifier to make it more interesting.

Part of this is that I don't want breedings between us to be super expensive, since that isn't sustainable for me with my measly (and quickly draining) 700k in the bank. If your values line up with mine, please let me know - I'd love to connect and mix our lines a little bit here and there to keep our herds thriving!

You’re welcome to use my foundation studs. All are currently around 1200 stats, and will end around 1500 at least.

I've been breeding Gypsy Vanners for over 12 years. Have some super excellent stock in my herds; come take a look! They're so pretty, often over 65+ in conformation, Non-Speciality Stats are average of 45-50, and as far as I know; no inbreeding.
