Questions about the gray gene and how to stop it

So I´ve got Connie and I love her markings, but she´s got Gg. I´m not sure how to stop it from developing? I´ve got the DNA tweak for gray but I´m not sure how it works

When you go to use the DNA Tweak it will let you choose from GG, Gg, or gg. If you want to get rid of the gray gene, then you'll want to change her Gg to gg. Otherwise, she will gray out and not keep her color.

Another option if you want to keep the gene so it will pass on to the offspring is to use a Freeze Grey. This allows you to indefinitely pause the horse from greying out fully, a lot of people use this on the breed arts that dapple. It will be available in the upcoming snowball fight shop.

If you want to completely remove the grey gene however, the grey tweak is the way to go. Just like What Deer creek said, set it to no grey (gg) when applying.

The thing is, the gg gene won´t appear, the only options available are aa, Aa, or GG when I select her

Hmm. That's weird. It gave me the options when I used mine a few months ago. I would suggest going with a Freeze Gray then like Eliza said. Then you can try to breed the gray out in the next gen.

Would you mind sending me a screenshot including the dropdown and item being used? Could potentially be a bug.

Looks like a bug specific to Grade Horses, there’s a couple gene issues with them that are being fixed. You don’t happen to have a flaxen modifier to test as well? 

Nope, just got the gray one for that specific mare :(
