Recent Art Dump

#262951 Posted on 2022-12-02 11:50:12

Decided just to dump some of my most recent art. It's been awhile since I've done this, so why won't do it again? Plus I'm finally making progress of getting out of my year long art block. Hope you enjoy! Also, do NOT steal my art. It does NOT belong to you. Most art is of my character Solstice. You can read about her journey with her friends with the Isles of Nowhere book and rp both made by Lizzy. Enjoy! ♥

You still have amazing art and ever growing, though I do like the second to first artwork, I love that one especially!

@Lizzy - Thank you so much! I can definitely tell a difference in my art each time I post these, and I never thought I'd make it this far anyway. The only reason I did was because of the support from the EV community!

@Lizzy ikr same!! I love the Spirit-ish art style, that movie is super important to my family*, and Horsegirl's art looks wonderful!

*bc it was released in theaters the day my mom's first horse died. It's very special to us, so Spirit Untamed just hurts.

@Kali Pickles Horses, yes right? I do have the VHS tape AND the DVD of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, I will forever remember that the day my mother bought both, I still remember it from some era in 2000.

Oh wow, your mother's first horse died the day the 2000 movie of Spirit released? Geez, it must've been really important then..

I- That must hurt to see Spirit Untamed-

-To hurt the traditional art and free spirited horses shown in the first movie, they really should've made a Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron 2, they would've gotten more people to watch since they loved that movie dearly.

I have I think the VHS and 2 copies on DVD xD
And yeah, it's a huge thing to us, we watch it at least 9 times every year :3
I actually said somewhere that it does hurt lol. It's awful and makes my heart ache. My pony's name is Spirit after the 2000's one, and we take him to a pumpkin patch every year and do pony rides with the 5 others, but whenever little kids hear his name they think of the show and new movie, not the original and I think my favorite co-workers noticed that :') Plus, in the new one, he's not even wild anymore, he just lets some non-equestrian city slicker hee-haw on his back and giddyap into the sunset :/ The only reason Spirit was ridden by Little Creek was bc it was the only way for both of them to live, not because some little girl gave him an apple. Plus, with her thumb pointing up, which is ofc a good way to wind up with only 9 digits. AND ANOTHER THING: the horse in the new ones is supposed to be Spirit Jr., Sprit and Rain's colt, which is why he has a blaze, but genetically he probably would've been either a) a palomino b) a chestnut c) a buckskin or d) a bay. Plus a tobiano, overo, or tovero like Rain is, not just a bLaZe.

Sorry lol I get so worked up over the new Spirit for reasons already mentioned😅

It's alright! I can understand, I have the first series of the show, but not the sucky movie, I don't want to watch anything that doesn't inspire me or make me remember about Spirit, I don't want to really watch it since IT DOES NOT HAVE "WILD" in the name anymore, it just sucks to me.

I mean- I have a Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron book, but- I just made a very old *CHERISHED* movie into a weird fantasy thing that I DON'T EVEN LIKE MYSELF! And I'm an author, I'm supposed to like my work!

Oh well, I have a new book I'm working on, it's called "Extinction Is Never The End" it's another book that I'm working on that isn't on a site, more of handmade actually!

Oh I also have my first book in 5th grade called "The Horse and The Leopard", I don't know why, but I still have it, it's next to my bookcase on the floor. I really "Took good care of that", I'll read it since I had better writing skills back then and quite a good idea on where to put commas and and periods.

But those are my ONLY TWO REAL LIFE BOOKS, I have not made any other real life book besides "The Horse and The Leopard" & "Extinction Is Never The End", I also never wrote in my first book ever again, I haven't touched it since I forgot about it until now.

I might've just stored it in my head and I still remember it that way, no wonder why I don't forget about most things! Except my passwords when I need to login into something, I have terrible memory then.. But oh well!

Wait- I skimmed over the VHS tape AND TWO COPIES?! Woah! That's quite rememerable! And quite fun to watch no matter what! Now I'm starting to remember Spirit running up the hill and the samething but with Rain instead.

And yes, Spirit should've been a buckskin, bay, chestnut or a palomino, and yes, he should've also had markings similar to his mother's. People that worked on the 2000 movie knew how to work a stallion, but the Untamed? Are you serious? People don't know how to work famous and rememerable movies! Not a chance!

This is why I'm developing weird- crushes with certain characters, from the 1940s, except Bambi. Bambi is just the one movie that I grew up with, and Spirit as well.

If I had kids, I would've shown them how I grew up and how I felt about everything, but- not since I've had my heartbroken like three times, I'm just not ready again.

I'm unrelating things into something I could relate them too..

Oh I also have Pinochioo- I spelt that wrong! But still, I have that movie in VHS form and I remember not a thing about it! Until I hard of the coachman is being referenced by Chef Saltbaker- a random NPC which is: *Spoiler Alert* the final boss and enemy of the two Cupbros! Cuphead and Mugman! That's a game btw.. So yeah!

You may want to move your conversation to PMs, rather off-topic for an art dump thread.

I like the dapples, and how much your markings have improved! I'm a sucker for glowy eyes on characters too♥

@Maple - Thank you! I just found the free brush, and thought that I would use them. Better then drawing every dapple by hand because that's what I used to do... Anyway yes I love the glowing eyes too. Her eyes, horn, and necklace glow whenever she gets defensive, or there is a threat. (The necklace is connected to her in a way, so the duller it is, the more she's sick, injured, etc.) :3

@Lizzy - Thank you! The dapple grey is a character played by a friend in a rp we are doing on a different game.
