  Adira was in the mountains near her home. Depressed that her whole family died because of the wrong choice she made  ten years previously.  I wont be able to fix that or  bring them back…. She thought “ But I can change myself and how I do things around here” she said as she  walked  towards the edge of the mountain and stood over the edge, looking over the river “ When will someone come into my life and  bare them children. “ she said with a sigh.


Her sense of smell was the best. She could smell for miles. Ten miles at best when she was in a good mood. And this was on one of here off days so she would smell as good. But from what she could tell, there was a weird smell she couldn’t place. Some stranger in her land “ they better know what I am before they even cross to my home” she snarled as she  slowly backed off to the open land below, just walking alone when she spotted a stranger not too far from her. Her red dress and black shawl  would attract attention but she wasnt worried about that. It was the Crescent moon on her neck that would.

Owen emerged from the cave he was seeking refuge from the merciless ice winds. Snow covered the ground 5 inches thick. 50 minutes had passed and he was still walking, looking for food but he had spotted nothing. From afar he spotted a shadow however he could not make it out what it was. 

Owen sensed another being close by however this was feeling that he hasn't felt before. " A human?" He questioned. "No, no sane human would be out hiking in this weather". He heard footsteps. "Who's there?"

Adira turned her slender, royal self around and spotted a lone male " What do you want?" she asked " You are trespassing on my land." But when she noticed the male was cold she was sympathetic towards him  I cant believe im about to do this  she thought " Its freezing out here... You shouldn't be out int he freezing cold. I suggest you come with me. "

She slowly began to walk towards him and just stopped in front a few seconds later " Ill give you anything you need. shelter, a place to sleep,  even food." She was only being nice since she hadn't seen anyone venture out this far into the mountain. Her gold eyes fixated on the male " please"

Owen stood shivering. "should i follow" he thought. "Who are you- i don't know you why should i follow you?". He looked around in annoyance. He took a couple of steps forward before asking " do you have any food- i'm starving!"

" i have everything you possibly need" Adira chuckled " Come." he gave the male a  gentle smile as she walked beside him, not a sense of fear in her posture or words. " If I may ask.... what are you doing in the cold weather? Were you headed somewhere in particular? If so... you wont be able to find anything or a place to live for  thousand miles"

In a matter of a half hour, a building that looked like a mansion appeared " There is my home" He golden eyes fixated on the male once again.

"Wow, this place is amazing! Who else lives here?". Owen looked around in awe and amazement. The warmth was overwhelmingly nice. "I'm sure your family wouldn't want me here, especially your husband!" "I can only stay for dinner unfortunately, there are things i need to... tend to.". He looked nervously around. His gaze met Aidra's but he quickly looked away in embarrassment.

Owen walked into a place full of books from all around the world. "A library!" he exlaimed "You have so many wonderful books- ones from Paris, London, New York, Manhattan- Do not talk to me about Manhattan. Once, like 300 years ago, we were out hunting and we spotted a homelessman..." He stopped "That's a story for another day, what is on the menu tonight?"

Adira looked away from him " My family died a long time ago" she said  hating to admit the truth  to a total stranger  How can I  trust him... I just met him and I dont know how to act right now

She looked up at him when he  mentioned Manhattan " I wont mention it... I promise." she then looked at the other books she had " What other stories have you got in that filled head of yours? She chuckled, her eyes on him. " As for food...   anything from mink to stags or if are in something more easyy... human food... but its rare to find around here" she simple said before looking down at the idea of him leaving " But you just got here... but as a royal.. I understand if you have important  things to attend to"

She just met him and wanted to know more, but like he said.. he couldnt stay for too long.  What is going on with my head... I cant keep him here  because im feeling something weird... I have to obey his wishes as he pleases.

Owen looked at Adira in both sadness and pleasure. "I am so sorry to hear about your family, what happened? As for stories, i have many- from war to romance but maybe i'll tell you them another day! As for food stag sounds wonderful!" 'Human food pfft, she hasn't tried human then however that was then' he thought. 

"The things i have to attend to are strictly professional. However, tomorrow night we are hosting a hunt if you would like to join?". Owen tried to get into her head- her thoughts. 'This one is an easy target' he thought. 'Give it a couple of months and i'll be the one holding the reigns!' 

"Thank you so much for dinner but i best be off! How about you join me tomorrow?". 

Adira snapped out of her reverie for a moment as she looked at  Owen " A hunt? Oh I couldnt... "  he's offering you... not  telling you to go, Adira!  she scolded herself as she tried to not give herself away to the stranger " A stag it is then. follow me"

She led him through the gate and up the stairs and into the mansion. " I hope its warm enough... " he  shyly said feeling his harshness from his mind.  Get out of my head... please She pleaded as she led him into the royal dining room and  ordered him to sit down. " you seem like a demanding type... not that i havent been around  alot of people  like that... but it does get a little lonely since im all alone here" she said grabbing a plate for him and placed some stag meat on it before giving it to him and just watched him eat.

"Ah this is fantastic! Adira you must come to the hunt tomorrow, i insist!" He smirked to himself.

"Me? The demanding type! Absolutely not.Far from it . We will be hunting deer and game on horseback it's great! It is settled you are most definitely joining me tomorrow my dear, wear comfortable clothing and i hope you know how to ride a horse!" 

"I will see you tomorrow then Adria!" Owen left the mansion back out into the cold. As soon as the mansion was out of eyesight a shadow appeared next to Owen.
"Well did you do your job Owen?"
"She'll join us tomorrow for the hunt, then the fun really begins!"  

 Alright fine.. Ill come....  she said giving in. Not knowing what was in store for her as a royal. 
" There's something funky about that male" She said as she  gave a sigh of relief when he finally left. " of course I know how to ride..im a royal... she argued out loud " Who does he think I am?"  She headed to her huge room and found a red dress that she wore on her last horseback riding day. " I hope he will allow this" she  thought as she took it out and laced it on her dresser before looking out the window. The wind began to pick up.  Another cold winter. Just the way I like it.

Owen woke up with the sun shining in his face and hungover from the night before. 'The fun begins today' A smart hunters outfit was already laid out- black and red. He thanked the maid and made his way downstairs. "You ready Owen, today is a big day you musn't screw it up!" a strange figured said. 
"Of course i'm ready, revenge is always sweet!"

Owen made his way to the stables were is prize thoroughbreds were. Two black and two grey. "Stable boy tack up Duke (black horse) for me and we'll let Adria pick which one she wants to ride. That reminds me send a car to pick Adria up!" Adria! This is going to be sweet.
