Showing at the International Level

I'm struggling y'all.

Once my horses hit International level, showing feels like a waste of time. My horses with just over 2100 stats are competing with horses that have up to 2499 stats, and while I know training and luck also play a role, it feels futile because my horses never win.

My last pair I've just given up and am riding schooling them and feeding them peppermints till they're at least 2300 and competitive, but a double conversion is pricey and not ideal.

What is everyone else doing to help win in these shows with such huge available stat ranges?

Well, I just locked up my horses and now only show lower statted ones. My last year's suggestion still stands and managed to get a bit of support. Until show levels are fixed I'm not going to bother showing. Horses will be locked up or pepperminted and schooled.

yeah showing at higher levels is really exhausting for me, i feel bad since i do really love my little collection of international andys and quarters. but whenever i try to show them i almost always have to school them instead. it's like for all the work i put into them, high statted horses are just there to look pretty lol
even with a horse near the end of it's grade showing doesn't really feel fun. everyone goes for cheaper shows meaning i either have to show my horse in empty $100 shows (barely any profit if at all) or go for full $20 shows (literally the same profit if not less than if i was just showing foundies, considering the amount you spend to train Na to I level horses and how much time they have to waste on schooling instead of showing compared to lower grade horses)

honestly wondering if i should stop treating and training completely just to keep levels down, though it would probably make it even harder to sell my foals if i'm not bothering to raise stats so... :c

This is partially due to a bug that has only recently been found and fixed where horses over 3k stats were passing on more stats than they should have been. Outside of a hard reset/wipe for the bugged horses there’s not much to be done for the stat end of it. 

You are more than welcome to make suggestions that might help showing in the future. Though things like extra showing levels won’t really help in the long run as horses are already way over the threshold for current shows, and there’ll always be a limit to how far shows can go. Suggestions marked with an asterix symbol have been noted (but don’t necessarily mean implementation). 

But does it mean that there is currently no viable solution, nothing is being worked on to solve this problem...? There were quite a few suggestions made in the past - are they not workable at all...?

Never said nothing is being worked on, I can't comment on developments. Suggestions marked have been noted by the admin, but can be a lot more complex to discuss and implement if they are right for the game. 

i don’t understand how horses being born with high stats would have any relation to the fact that the international show levels are 400+ stats wide? 

@Lenka: yes i supported that and the two young horses i mentioned back then are the same two i mentioned above. i finally unlocked them because it seemed a waste, but my only options seem to be lock them indefinitely till a solution is found or spend a ridiculous amount of money and mint/school/convert them. i’ve got money to waste, but not all players do, so i would much prefer to have a solution!
