One Man's Trash Training Extravaganza - August One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure after all! We are going to have some changes this month so please read carefully. The top two are the basic tiers. You may enter one of them and the Return of the King contest if you want to train two horses. Surprise Me: You can pick a breed or gender that you prefer, and I use a random number generator to choose a horse that meets those specs out of the RC. If no horses that meet your specifications are in the RC, I will go ahead and get a foundie for you. Pick of the Litter: You pick your own horse from the RC. You may keep this horse on your account until the contest begins on November 1st. It is recommended that you keep the horse locked until then. I will not be recording your starting stats until late at night on the 31st. The horse must be N1 to start Return of the King: If you would like to re-enter your horse from last month, I will run a separate contest for them if there is enough interest! The ultimate goal of this contest is to improve the horse as much as you can, boosting its stats through either showing or riding schools and well as treating and all that jazz. At the end of the event, you can choose what to do with the horse you have trained. You can sell it, keep it, retire it (which would kind of defeat the point, but it's up to you). If you don't want to deal with it afterwards, you can always send it back to me and I will take charge of the rehoming process. c: Rules: - You will not be disqualified for inactivity. I understand that life gets in the way sometimes. But keep in mind that this will significantly limit your chances - Stick to basic treats only! No peppermints, etc. - Disqualifiers: feeding non-specialty treats (peppermints, sugar cubes, etc) and selling your horse before the end of the contest. - You may enter both a basic (either Surprise Me OR Pick of the Litter) and continuing (Return of the King) contest! - Horses may be picked up by the contest participant now, no need to go through me unless you want a surprise. This is in an attempt to save some time for me. - Horses must be registered with the club before they can participate - Post editing is not allowed. All breed/gender choices are final so please be sure that what you are posting is what you really want -You need to join the group to be eligible to enter! One Man's Trash Prizes: 1st - 1 mil EVD 2nd - 500k EVD 3rd - 100k EVD Anyone who increases their horse's stats by 150 or more will be entered into an additional raffle at the end of the month! So what's the status of this competition ? Has it started already or are we waiting for an official announcement ??? I can see that some of the entered horses are locked and some unlocked and I don't know if I should unlock mine or not just yet....?

Participants should wait for an official announcement to be made before unlocking/training their horses as starting stats will not be recorded until the contest officially starts. So any stats gains made before the official announcement will not count towards progress. I try my best to record starting stats the night before but I am just one person with a lot going on irl so I am not always able to. It is best to wait for the announcement. The contest will start today but I literally just woke up so if everyone could have some patience, it would be appreciated.
