Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

Meanwhile, while Princess Cali was still struggling with Gustave, Anika had
been knocked oiu when r head collides with a rock when Gustave hit her.

Anika woke up. **Where am I?** she thought as the world spun before
her eyes. It took her awhile to realize her back paws were in the water. She jumped up, and
a pain in her head warned her she was injured. " Cali!" She roared, her voice echoing over the Savannah.

Anika's roar reached the entire pride, who raced down to the river, with Kali and Chumvi in the lead. "What's wrong?! Where's my daughter?!" Both Kali and Chumvi demanded, Kunar sniffing the ground, and the lionesses ready to attack.

Lalita heard the howling of a giant beast and knew instantly what it was. She woke panting, not a dream. She ran to the edge of her ledge and saw the crocodile..... Then the lioness at the center of the pond. ' oh no, she's not GPI g to make it of she tries to swim" she thought. She made her choice, she ran and didn't stop till she had climbed all the way down and made it to the lake" stay there Gustave don't move until I say!" She yelled so the lioness could hear her. She ran over and splashed the water loudly with her big paws trying to create a distraction so that Gustave could swim to the other side" heeyy!!! You big ugly lizard look heerre!!!" She yelled sticking her tounge out and wiggling her butt at him

Anika shook away the dizziness and motioned with her forepaw down the river,
" Gustave! He-he...took Princess Cali!" She shuddered, her eyes filled with fear.

Gustave finally stopped the searing pain with lots of water, was searching for Cali when he heard someone making fun of him. Growling, he turned around, and spied the lioness he saw earlier that morning shaking her butt at him. "You're dead!!!" He shouted, swimming fast, going by the island, which Cali, terrified as she was, took the chance, and gingerly leapt onto his back. He was too involved with going after Lalita that he didn't feel Cali on his back, and when he charged up onto the lake shore; she leapt off his back into a tall tree, and climbed high up into the branches to safety. Gustave gave chase to Lalita, trying to grab her, but he wasn't the fastest on land as he was in the water.

"Then the stories are true........ Our hope of carrying on the Savanna only lies in Kacy now......." Kali cried out, Chumvi grabbed her, and held her closely while the pride began to mourn for their beloved princess.

Lalita laughed and jeered" Loom at you ya sloooww poke" she stuck her tounge out. She then did a flip, landing on his back than leapt up into the tree next to.Gustave. she laughed again. "And don't ever try to do that again you old lizard!" She yelled down at him. She looked over at the drenched lioness" are you alright? If you want you can come to my den and warm up by the fire" she said feeling the cool breeze.

Cali didn't say anything, just stared in terror at the furious crocodile, who hissed at her, and tried to leap up to grab her. He kept trying, but couldn't, and the tree was much too big for even him to push over. Even an elephant couldn't push this big of a tree down, so he left, and disappeared under the deep lake water. Cali didn't move a muscle, except for her eyes, before she dared to come down. She was terrified of being eaten again and knew that she would surely perish if she was caught again.

She followed Cali down. "Cali? Are you ok?" She asked again looking closely at the terrified lioness. "Can I help you in any way?" She knew Cali was in shock. She had a remedy to help with that if she wanted to try it. "I have something that will calm your nerves if you want it?"

"O.....okay. Just, get me well away from him. I NEVER want to repeat that experience again!!!!" Cali screamed, leaping out of the tree, and heading towards where she saw the kind lioness's pride. She was so covered with mud, saliva, and leaves from the tree that no one could recognize her.

Lalita led Cali to her den, once they climbed up, she helped brush off some of the leaves and mud before saying" come on in and sit by the fire. Let that stuff dry off, it'll be easier to get eid of when it's dry" she said getting a bowl and putting some fresh water in it. She stirred in some raspberry seeds and some rare white lilac. Once it was warmshe handed it to Cali" drink this slowly it will help"

Cali did, even though she wasn't thirsty, and felt a bit better. She shook hard, sending the disgusting extra coat flying everywhere, and looking more like her royal self.

Cali shook, some of the leaves hitting Lalita on the nose and side. She laughed, "feeling better?" The lioness didn't look as scared now, the shock going away. She smiled glad she could help another lion. "Do you need anything else?" She asked

"Other than, WHERE AM I??? Do you know how to get back to the Savanna??? Anika's got to be terrified to see me get swallowed by that crocodile." Cali asked.

Lalita smiled "yes I know the way, I'll lead you" she answered climbing down the ledge again. She turned and motioned for Cali to follow her, she trotted off. They got to the Savannah " I hope you get there fast enough so they won't worry too much" she told Cali with a slight bow. "I am glad to have helped you and of you ever need anything come to me I'll gladly help again " she said smiling.

Cali looked at her and smiled. "How's your life Lalita? Don't you know who I am? I am Princess Cali of the Savanna."
