Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

Areli laid on Mojo Nyguvu's grave, thinking deeply, for she knew that Star indeed loved her daughter, and the feelings Alina had for him were true. She knew that sooner or later, he would ask her daughter to be his mate, and she then would have to make up her mind about Sengo. She didn't want to make up her mind so fast, for she didn't feel ready, and was still feeling like if she took another mate; she would be disloyal to Mojo Nyguvu's memory and the love he had for her. Areli moaned, laying her head down, and wished with all her heart that he was still alive.

"Huh? Oh, I'm fine, just thinking. I..I don't know if I can have cubs." she confessed to him her thoughts, intertwining her tail with his. Alina picked up pace again, seeing her mother's den not too far off. I roared, trying to alert her we were coming.

Areli heard Alina calling for her, but ignored it, trying to give herself more time, but something was trying to tell her it was okay. She jerked her head upright, listening, but the voice seemed to be coming from everywhere. The wind was blowing, flowers, pollen, and the voice coming from somewhere. Areli had her ears pricked, twisting around, and trying to pinpoint it, when a paw touched her leg. She screamed, jumped to her feet, and snarled at the ghostly lion in front of her. "Do you not recognize me Areli?" The lion asked her, she eyed him with suspicion, but when she saw the scar across his face that closed one of his eyes, she gasped with delight. "Mojo?! My darling!!!!" She ran to give him a hug, but sadly ran right through him, and turned to stare at him with shock and disappointment. "I am sorry, but I cannot stay for long, which is why you cannot hug me. Go. Become mates with Sengo. You need someone that you can spend the rest of your life with, for your father did not allow it for us. I have watched you for the past three weeks, you are happier, because our beautiful daughter is home, but you are still wrestling with your love for me. Never forget me, but in rejecting Sengo, you are hurting me even worse than your father did when he attacked me. I want you to be happy. I want you to be happy......" He said, as he began to disappear, to which she cried out, "NO!!! Please!!! Don't leave me!!!" "I want you to be happy......." "Don't leave me...." "Be happy....." Then, the wind stopped blowing, and she was standing on his grave panting. "He wants me to be happy. With Sengo." She looked deep into her heart, found her feelings for Sengo, and realized that she did really like him. "Like can turn into love, I do like him more than a friend. I must find Sengo!" But, before she could leave, some rustling in the bushes ahead of her caught her attention, she turned to see what it was, and growled.

Sengo jumped out of bushes, panting from running all the way here, his heart pounding from anxiousness. "I have to tell you something Areli." he breathed out the words, walking closer to her and regaining his breath slowly. His chest pounded rapidly as he looked into her lovely eyes with his green, he loved her, he truly did. "You're so beautiful..." he whispered before he was about to tell her his secret.

Alina just walked up as Sengo was standing in front of her mother, she wanted to slap herself for ruining possibly a special moment. "Sorry to interupt...I just wanted to ask you something Mother." she spoke in an embarrassed tone.

A silent sigh broke from Sengo's lips, he continued to look at Areli but backed away reluctantly. His eyes focused on Areli as he wandered off, letting Areli and her daughter be by themselves.

"No!!! Don't leave me Sengo. He wants me to be happy. With...... you." Areli cried out, then turned bright red when she said it, but kept her bright green eyes fixed on Sengo's. She quickly lipped her daughter but kept staring at Sengo.

Sengo froze in his steps, shocked to hear her words. Alina quickly said something to Areli "I think I'll go get something to drink...I'll be back." Sengo turned around once Alina left, looking straight at the flustered lioness. He took a step closer, still looking into her eyes and said in a quiet voice "I love you." Sengo rushed closer to her, not being able to stop himself he nuzzled her cheek tenderly and whispered into her ear "I adore you, I cherish you...my beautiful Areli."

Areli loosened her stiffness towards him and allowed him to purr against her. "I still won't ever not stop loving Mojo Nyguvu, but he appeared to me, and told me that every time I said no to you; either directly or in my mind I was hurting him. He wants me to be happy. With you. I like you a lot, more than just a friend, and I feel my feelings for you growing stronger." She smiled and sat down with him purring.

"I do not want to replace your beloved. I know I will never be as he was. But all I want to is to love you for the rest of my days. Areli, I can not ask you to be my mate...not until you know more about me, know my secrets and my weaknesses." he spoke gently to her, resting his face against her's and purring.

"And I will give you the opportunity to be my mate. Let us spend some time together and learn about each other. My daughter is getting to be close to Star, probably will be asked to be his mate soon, and then I'll be a grandmother someday soon." Areli smiled and trotted off towards her den. Sengo had been introduced to the pride already, had been accepted, but no one was asking him to do anything in particular, letting him decide for himself.

Star stayed somewhat behind Alina, waiting to hear from Areli. "Did you two talk at all?" He asked his mate.

Alina outside Areli's den, pacing nervously back and forth, she wouldn't know what to do if they didn't receive Areli's blessing. I couldn't leave the pride to be with Star, but I didn't want to leave Star either. And what about this Sengo, what if he didn't approve of Star. He had become a sort of 'friend' to Alina. I looked at Star and shook my head, to nervous to talk.

Areli then had this feeling that what Alina had to ask her was very important. She looked at Sengo, "I need to go talk to Alina. She has something to ask me." She walked towards the den and saw her talking with Star. Stopping in the bushes, she watched them interact, and smiled sweetly. "Yep, they are mates, I can tell." She said to herself, cleared her throat, and walked up to them proudly. "You needed something Alina? Good evening Star."

Star gazed at Alina. He sighed. "OH, good evening Healer Areli," Star said, nodding. He flicked his tail over Alina's ear, motioning her to talk to her mother.

"Can you feel the love tonight? I sure can......" Areli winked at the two and could see the butterflies fluttering all around.

"Mother, me and Star would like your blessing. We would like to be mates, and before I say a complete yes, I would like your blessing." she quickly explained, a soft blush on her cheeks. Alina had decided what she would do if her mother didn't bless them. The butterflies fluttering around them surprised her, making her turn around and look at Star as they talked about 'him' being a king.

(Who is 'him'? Sengo, Star, or someone else? )
