I am much more comfortable drawing canines, but decided to give my horsey boy Rocky a little love. I'd love to hear what y'all think of it, as well as any tips on how to draw better horses in the future!

That looks really good actually! The only thing that really jumps out at me is that he looks like he has six-pack abs on his chest XP

Lol, I was just guessing with the muscles since I did it from memory, so maybe I need to have another look at a real horse :D Thanks!

The general shape looks great! Though like ruby pointed out the chest looks like a six pack xD but you got the general shape of the chest muscles, if you refresh up on the anatomy a little bit you'll have it down in no time!

Wow that’s pretty dang good! I know others have said. But horses usually have two booby chests hahah. Other than that, you did a really good job! The background is super pretty

I think if you removed the bottom four chest muscles and lightened up on the shading between the remaining two, it'd look just fine :P just lookin a little circular too lol

If I may add, and no offence or anything box. I believe removing the top muscles on the chest would make the horse more anatomically correct.

Lol, thank you both for your advice! I tried a lot of tail positions, but since I'm used to drawing dogs, all my other attempts just looked a bit too . . . canine. I'm too lazy to edit the artwork, but I'll definitely use a reference for the chest muscles next time I draw a horse :D
