Progress button

#224456 Posted on 2020-06-20 08:55:03

I thought the idea behind progress button is that I can choose not to click it, in order to keep my horses from ageing, but still be able to access the game - just without the possibility of doing anything with my horses. However  that's not the case. If I don't progress then I can't do anything. I can't read notices I'd received, I can't access my messages nor forum, nor look at my account. It seems to me that this whole function is pointless. If I have to click it to be able to do anything at all with my account then it's not any different to what it was before this button was introduced.

Personally I love the progress button.

If I want to log in to the game but don't want my horses to age, I just lock all of my horses. For me it works pretty well - if I know I won't have enough time for my horses, I lock them but still progress my account to gain the daily reward/or stalk the forum/get the daily interest/look at the rescue/etc.

For me progress button is a "safety option/B plan" - if life takes me over or something happens and I forget to log in, my horses won't age (or retire before breeding/or die) and I won't lose any valuable training days.

Basically what Olivia said. The progress button is in place so your horses won't miss out on things or die if you are unable to log on for whatever reason and were unable to lock them beforehand.

Well, that's the point that if I were unable to lock them beforehand, then by clicking "progress" I am making them older, therefore potentially making them die.

That would only happen if the horses were already on the brink of death. They don't age or deteriorate in health at all when they are not progressed, so the only way you'd progress your account and find your horses dead is if they were already a day away from dying.

My point is that if I only want to check my mail or read forum or see what kind of notification I'd received, I need to progress and progressing ages my horses, which potentially deprives me of last day breeding or makes me loose one day of raising stats of horses which I hadn't locked beforehand. I find it very unhelpful. It would be much better if after logging in we had access to our account (being able to check messages, etc) and horses in the state they were left during last log in. This would give us a chance to finish whatever we'd forgotten last time (showing, training, last breeding, etc.) but horses would roll into the next day only after clicking "progress". So we would be able to access account for days and horses would stay in a suspended state of last day they were cared for until we progress them again.

I should have probably put it in the suggestions section instead of here....
