I miss Abbey ...

I've just realised how much I miss those personal updates from Abbey, which were coming now and again in the past.
The atmosphere here is still super nice and cosy, thanks to our fantastic admin and a team of super friendly and helpful mods, but still...being able to see Abbey pop in now and then with short accounts of her latest adventures, it really did add a very special feel - this was THE THING which (for me) differentiated EV from any other game out there :)

Hey!  I think you were the breeder of one of my favorite horses; I came back on after yet another long hiatus due to school and depression, and I caved to the temptation to resurrect him with a spectral draught and turn him back a week with a time twister, LOL!

Anywho, back to the subject, I miss Abbey, too.  I'd be super happy to see her pop in sometime, although I understand that things got crazy for her.  The game is just getting better and better, though, so I can't complain.

Yes, you're right: That's my horse !!! Oooohhhhh, I'm kicking myself soooo much for not transferring my account over :( Now and again I find my old horses in the pedigree and I kick myself again... stupid, stupid, silly me....

I have a few more that have your lines in my deceased horses that died at 21 and could be rolled back for a breeding or two.  If you ever want to browse them or their descendants, let me know, maybe you can at least get a little of your work back.  When I was on the old EV, I latched onto and snapped up anything I could find that went back to your lines after finding Keith, I love him, LOL

I'll probably be locking him to preserve him for use later, let me know if you ever want to use him. : )

Thanks. I'll remember. My GVs are currently locked but when I finally start working with them then it would be nice to breed some of them with my old lines.

And by the way, I really thought this topic would get much more response than it actually did..... Turns out only a handful of players liked having Abbey around, the rest seems to be indifferent...

Not a problem, just shoot me a message when you're ready, I can probably help you out with them or some descendants, as long as they died before the age of 22.  I've been working on conformation for a long time, and a wide range of colors.  A lot of mine are foals that are locked, but when my older horses age out, I'll be unlocking them and raising them for about 10 years or so before I do some breedings so they can build stats, then I may offer up a few foals or breedings.  You're welcome to browse through my account or backup account to take a peek and see if you like anything. : )

Personally I don't think it's people being indifferent, I think it's most likely just a lot of players nowadays weren't around when Abbey was the one giving us updates. And I myself did see this when it was originally posted, but didn't comment until now for fear of potentionally making anyone involved feel bad or something.

I miss the Abbey updates too, made it seem so much more personal, and made me feel more involved. 

For me, it's just as Raptor said...I am way too new to know anything at all really about Abbey. I did see this post but didn't think I had anything to contribute. It does sound like Abbey was great at making players feel at home and like they mattered!
All I can say about that is that the people taking over those "Abbey" things sure made me feel welcome!! From helping get the glitches fixed so I could make an account, to a longtime player who helped me without me ever asking, to the general feeling of friendship and caring...I have to believe that she heartily approves! 

Yes, there are lots of new players on that may not know! For those wondering, Abbey is the owner/creator of Equiverse (member #1). She used to do most of the news updates as well as game updates, however, as we all know, life happens!

I do miss the updates, but I believe the current admin team is doing an absolutely fantastic job of running the game as well as keeping everyone up to date. It's hard nowadays; it's not exactly a great idea to share personal information but it definitely made the game feel a bit more homey. 

I would not say it has compromised the cozy environment at all, I still strongly believe that the community here and mod team make for a very welcoming setting. ♥

I miss seeing her updates too! Why did she step back? I am back from a long hiatus and was wondering where she went :)
