My art project for figure drawing class

I wanted to share with you guys my current project (the reason why I'm not doing commissions atm lol). This is for my Figure Drawing II class, which is actually pretty fun. I'm not really into drawing people, but it has made me a better artist overall. I'm putting all my creative energy into this drawing, which is due in 4 days, so I'm low-key panicking.  This is a illustration assignment, where we can pick a classic story and create a composition. I chose to do Daniel in the Lion's den. So far I have drawn the angel, and two lions. The reason why the angel is so terrifying, is because according to the Bible, angels are actually very terrifying, incomprehensible, and powerful, so this is my depiction of one! I haven't drawn Daniel yet, he's supposed to be sitting between the two lions.
