As one of the surviving missing passengers/crew on flight 3600, you find yourself on an uncharted island somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle where your plane went down, the wreckage still smoldering. The waters around the island are rough and the tropical forest full of the unknown. The most you can do is try to survive while everyone on the mainland does everything they can to find you and bring you home, but the likely hood of them finding this island is dim. You'll have to make the best of it.

Rules:

Violence allowed (hunting, fighting etc.), but keep it tame and not overly descriptive

No swearing

No killing off other players characters w/o permission

Romance neither forbidden nor encouraged, but if you must, keep it PG 

No powers or somehow making your character good at everything they need to be good at. Let's try and keep it realistic.

Try to respond promptly. A quiet RP is a boring RP.

Try to have good grammer/punctuation etc.

Weather will be controlled by yours truly as well as some random events to spice things up

Full name: Rowan Fairchild

Gender: F
Physical description: Dark wavy hair that's usually braided in some form or fashion. 5'4", slim-fit build. A bit pale. Green eyes and one ear piercing (right ear). 
Personality: Slight anger-management issues, tends to speak her mind. Hates hypocrisy and slackers. Although she may come off as gruff, she is actually sort of a pacifist. Not a vegan, but sure as heck doesn't want to hurt animals.
Background (optional): To be discovered 
Profession: Student (just starting 11th grade)
Crew member or passenger?: Passenger
Why were they on the flight?: She was coming back from a mission trip with her youth group.
Useful skills (optional): Climbs trees, pretty good with a bow, watches a bunch of survival shows and youtube videos and practices in her backyard woods. Has a bit of talent with animals.
Are you OK with your character dying?: Only if I kill her off

(btw the pilot died in the crash, and the flight was from Puerto Rico to Orlando Florida)

Gender: male
Physical description: Cordero has curly dark hair, perpetually-unimpressed dark brown eyes, and medium-dark skin that he only takes as much care of as he has to. His right ear only is pierced, and he always wears a small, simple gold hoop earring. He just wears normal clothes (t-shirts, sometimes collared shirts, jeans, cargo pants, etc.). He is fit and stands at 6'0".
Personality: Always unimpressed. Sarcastic and rude. Seems quiet but really he just doesn't like most people enough to maintain a conversation with them. Actually not quiet at all. Rolls his eyes a lot. Probably hates you. Only really likes his family, his favorite member being his slightly younger cousin Enrique. The two appear very different, but are actually quite similar.
Background: Lives in Puerto Rico. Is Puerto Rican. His family is pretty big, but they're pretty spread out as well, living in different places. He lives with his parents, his grandmother, and a few siblings. There really ain't much to say here, he's just kind of a normal 18yo.
Profession: high school student nearing the end of his senior year

Why were they on the flight?: He was going to go see his cousin in Orlando, but that didn't exactly work out for him. Let's drop an F in the chat, gamers. He was going alone, so no one he knows is stranded with him.
Useful skills: rugby, telling people off, fighting (his mouth gets him into trouble more often that he'll admit), and not much else

Gender: Female
Physical description: Melody has thick, straight black hair that's roughly shoulder length. Her eyes are dark brown, set into a diamond-shaped face. Her skin is a warm tanned color year-round. She stands at around 5'7". Melody wears pretty typical clothes (t-shirts, tank tops, jeans, shorts, etc etc).
Personality: Melody works hard to reach her goals. She won't put up with any nonsense, and can come off a bit blunt. She is someone you want on your side and not pitted against you just due to her sheer determination. Strong-willed and confident. 
Background: Melody grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The part of town she lived in was the "poor" area, where her family sometimes struggled to have enough money. When she was 17, she brought her daughter Ava into the world. Her boyfriend, Ava's father, agreed to help raise their child, but left shortly after Ava's birth. Despite the circumstances, Melody loves her daughter and worked hard to finish high school and get a job so she could provide for her. While she worked at grocery stores and similar places, she built her photography portfolio in hopes of being able to become a full-time professional photographer. She moved to South Carolina when she was 20. At 22 she was finally able to resign from her job at a Walmart and now does photography professionally. Her job sometimes requires her to travel.

Why were they on the flight?: She was hired to take photos that she had to travel for. Her daughter died in the crash.
Useful skills: tenacious, hardworking, stays levelheaded during difficulty

Full name: Damien Angelis
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Physical description: He's 6'2", weighs roughly 180 and has an athletic toned build. His skin is olive green and his eyes are green as well, with jet black medium shaggy hair. It's long enough for him to put back in a really short ponytail if he wanted to. He typically wears black dress paints and white button up shirts, which is what he was wearing when the crashed happened. His ears are pierced and he wears silver or black huggies in them and he has a tattoo of a dragon on his left shoulder with dragon script down his left side. He also has some symbols tattooed on the bottom of his left wrist.
Personality: He is usually quiet due to observing and taking in information. He's worried this might make him seem rude because he doesn't mean to be, he just analyzes things a lot to learn and appropriately deal with a situation or be able to respond in a better way than he normally would if he just was blurting out things that first came to mind. It was a trait he learned at a young age from speaking without thinking and sticking his foot in his mouth. He's quick to take up for people if he sees they are being treated poorly, faster than he would himself.
Background (optional): Damien grew up with a couple siblings and his parents. They were well off at first when he was little but once he made it to tween-hood his dad made poor life choices and got in legal trouble so they lost everything. He had to watch his pets be taken away because his dad had to sell them for money to get a place to live. He didn't have any friends, so his pets were his only friends. After this his father worked him on construction jobs working hard labor at just 12 years old. He wasn't schooled, he went to work Monday through Friday like an adult, working hours just like an adult. He lost his childhood, education, friends, many childhood experiences and had to grow up fast to help raise his younger brother and make sure his brother didn't go through the same things he did. He made sure his brother got to be a kid and play, and not have to work. He picked up extra work around the house plus helping his father just to make sure his brother didn't have to do a thing. Their older sibling was spoiled and didn't do a thing. She got away with everything. Constantly getting Damien into trouble for things he didn't do just because he made her mad somehow.
     Damien at about 16 went into a depression where he for many years lost feeling, physical touch even and did nothing but work. He was mentally abused. It wasn't until he turned 18 that he finally made it out on his own to try and be an adult and not get treated so bad anymore. He started as a server working, then managed with a lot of hard work and study became a CNA(Certified Nursing Assistant) then moved on the a registered nurse and has lived a pretty good life as of recent years. He works home health and was on a much needed vacation during this plane crash.
Profession: Registered nurse.
Crew member or passenger?: Passenger.
Why were they on the flight?: He was on a much needed vacation from work since he hadn't gotten to have one in many years.
Useful skills (optional): He is usually good about calming people down in tense situations. He also takes a leadership role if he sees it's needed and has had success in his serving career and nursing career people following him and liking his leadership abilities. He prefers to not be a leader unless absolutely necessary. He knows basic survival skills from how much time he's had to research things and practice it while camping. His grandfather also taught him how to hunt, but of course that was with guns and bows. He's only seen on TV how to make things if you are weaponless. Has never actually put it to use what he learned on TV and reading online.
Are you OK with your character dying?: Most likely, yeah. I would just like some warning over PM on why and how and what I need to do lol. I'm definitely okay with him getting hurt or injured bad, etc.
