Corrie
She did the same as Elodie, turning to observe the newcomers for a few moments before refocusing her attention on her own plate, cracking open one of the crab legs she'd taken. "So you move around a lot, huh, EJ? I've never moved in my life."

Clovis
He ate his food quietly, sitting at a table alone - how he preferred it - and minding his own business. Sort of. He assumed he would end up spending a decent amount of time with these people, whether he wanted to or not, so he listened in to the conversations as he chewed a mouthful of rice. Clovis was really only here because he didn't want to spend his life barely scraping by in some hidden jungle village. It wasn't that he didn't like the jungle, it was his home after all, but he'd seen his father struggle to get by and knew many others dealt with the same problem. He wanted to actually do something worthwhile with his life. He'd decided that the day he had found his dao sword lying, lost and forgotten, on the jungle floor.

"That's a new one," Elodie said after she finished chewing. "Back and forth, mostly. Depends on who wants Graham pottery at the moment."

Izzy
She got a plate, shoved a mountain of food onto it---mainly pototoes---and looked for a place to sit, preferably next to someone intresting. She noticed a boy by himself, but still seemed to be paying attention to what was going around him. Izzy slid into the seat next to him, readjusted her bright blue glasses, and stuck out her hand.
"Hey, I'm Izzy." She said, not even waiting for an answer before shoveling up the food.
Remington
Remington ate slowly and with excellent manners, studying everybody else here. His mouth twitched. Father would say they looked like peasants or beggars. They certainly were nothing like the fashionably dressed people who attented the large balls Father held nightly. As he finished the last few bites of his salad, he nudged Jimmy slightly.
"Let's leave." Muttered Remington. "These people seem rather coarse. Besides, I'd better get ready for the ceremony tomorrow."
Jimmy
Jimmy dropped his third chicken leg, which had a large bite in it. He quickly swallowed and coughed a bit as it went down the wrong tube. With his brown eyes watering, he gasped, "Please, Remington, I'd like to know them. I mean, I dunno, these guys could be real friendly an'--." He stopped as Remington gave him an icy glare. "Never min'." Jimmy said quietly, and scooped up the two plates, looking for somewhere to dump the food and a dishwasher.

Corrie
Corrie tore the crab meat from its shell with her teeth, listening to Elodie while she chewed. "Your family does pottery?," she asked when she was finished. "Mine has a generations-old seafood business. Don't get much publicity, but we're responsible for a whole lot of exports. Decently profitable."

"Same here. Pottery, art, fencing, buildings, food - all sorts of things." Elodie watched the nicely dressed boy with a mix of curiosity, amusement, and distaste. "That one's a fancy piece of work," she muttered to Corrie, nodding discreetly in the boy's direction.

Clovis
His eyes trailed Remington and Jimmy, expression not giving away what he was thinking. Clovis glanced at the girl who sat down beside him, repressing the urge to sigh. "Clovis." Even if he had wanted to shake her hand, which he'd had no intention of doing, she was eating before he would have had a chance. He turned to his own plate and pierced a piece of fruit with a fork. Not as fresh as back home, but that was to be expected.

She turned to follow her friend's gaze, eyes narrowing slightly after a few moments of observing how the two boys interacted. "...Agreed. Shall we agree we don't like him?," she questioned softly in a way that was almost rhetorical, finally dragging her eyes away from the pair and returning them to the plate in front of her.

Ireneo
Ireneo studied his new room delightedly, half unpacked clothing left long forgotten on his bed as he wandered. The walls were a curious mix of a dark wood and a soft seafoam blue, the colour of which matched a few stray strands that were woven into the well-loved threadbare rug that settled comfortably on the floor. His inspection was cut short by a few loud, sharp knocks to his door, and upon opening it, he was greeted with a somewhat familiar face. "Evenin', Miss O'Dail. Fancy seeing you here! What can I do fer a pretty little lady like yerself?" A grin split his face as the lurking teen outside scoffed, pushing off from her place resting against the wall across from his room to head towards him. "How is it that you can say so little words, and yet, I still want to hear exactly none of them?" She sighed, lips curling into a coy little smile at the sound of Ireneo's loud, boisterous laugh as her friend dropped the terrible accent, slinging a friendly arm up and over her shoulder. "Heya, Indie. How goes things?" The girl in mention made a non-committal noise as the two meandered towards the sounds of the dining hall. This didn't put Ireneo off in the slightest - Indiana O'Dail was often a person of few words unless she felt the need to put more than just her two cents in, which she often didn't. (At least, she felt comfortable expressing herself around him, but he understood that she was coping with this massive change by just detatching herself from the situation.) - and he himself was more than happy to talk enough for the both of them. "I wonder how many people there are here? I saw a few leave when I did, but no one I knew personally.... although I can't decide whether I'd rather a large group or no one at all." The two paused at the door, Ireneo retracting his arm after a pat from Indie, and making their way inside with a straight beeline to the food. Indie warily studied the rest of the room as Ireneo served the both of them food, holding eye contact with a few members from one of two occupied tables before hunching her shoulders a little, arms folding across her chest defensively.

"Right on the beach. If you were to cross the ocean in a straight line from here to the mainland, I only live south about an hour or two from that point," she replied, watching with interest as two more people filed in. "They don't seem so bad," she commented.

Izzy
Izzy sighed and dramatically rolled her eyes. This guy needed to be a bit more intresting than that!
"Where ya from?" She asked. "Somewhere small, I think."
Remington
He waited, his arms crossed over his black suit and tapping his foot impatiently as Jimmy tried to find a place to put the plates away. Eventually Jimmy set the plates down in a neat stack and came back.
"Are you sure?" The red headed boy asked quietly. "The only reason your mother convinced Sir to let you go was to let you socialize, you know?"
Remington simply turned away and stalked out the door, making Jimmy trail behind him. Once they had left the building, Remington said, without looking at Jimmy, "You go talk to everybody. I'm going."
Jimmy shook his head and opened his mouth to protest, as he was being paid to watch over Remington, but Remington simply walked off, leaving Jimmy staring after him

"A small village in the jungle." Clovis looked over at her. "Rolling your eyes at people, I'm told, is rude. Do you want something?" Small talk was often pointless, and he'd rather get to the heart of the conversation sooner than dance around it.
