Is there an Age Limit to Change a horses Disciplin

I am a new player and most of my horses are around 8 years old. After doing continual research I feel a few would be better off in another discipline.
I know that people feed treats to foals until 3 and then put them into a discipline that they don't want, then change them to one that they do want. 
My question is should I just continue to treat my horses in their current discipline, as they were 3 when they were created or should I change them to another, or is it too late? 

There is no age limit on when you can convert your horses, so it's never too late (though if the horse is retired, it's probably not at all beneficial!). 
You can only convert once for EVD(10kt) and then each change you request after that will cost 2EVC. You can change the discipline unlimited times though as long as you have the EVC on hand. It is not recommended though since it's very expensive if you keep doing it! 

Personally speaking, I would only change their discipline prior to breeding to ensure that both parents have the same discipline to be beneficial to the foal.
